We deliver absolute confidence in environments where failure is not an option.\nJob Title: Principal Cyber Engineer\nLocation: On-site Columbia, MD\nAbout the role:\nEverfox is seeking talented cyber engineers motivated to help customers solve complex and fast-moving cybersecurity challenges supporting the U.S. Government. Focusing on proven Everfox Cross Domain solutions, you will interface directly with customers and play a key role in designing and deploying enterprise Cross Domain solutions to ensure customer success. The successful candidate will receive specialized training to support Everfox technologies.\nLocation:\nColumbia, MD - at the customer location (To protect the privacy of our customers, we do not share names or exact locations until the appropriate security and onboarding process is complete).\nKey Responsibilities:\nUtilize Linux and scripting expertise to support and field critical customer-driven requirements enabling secure data transfer.\n\nEngage directly with customers to provide advanced design, analysis, and implementation of Everfox software.\n\nReview, analyze, and define requirements; design integrated solutions; implement Everfox and non-Everfox technologies; integrate multiple tools across disciplines; perform formal security and functional testing.\n\nTroubleshoot technical issues hands-on in Linux-based environments, using and configuring Everfox solutions to deliver critical customer requirements.\n\nWork on complex network environments, troubleshooting issues, designing and implementing failover capabilities, and validating interoperability with other enterprise components.\n\nProvide technical briefings to customers and Everfox leadership as required.\n\nDeliver training, troubleshooting, and on-site/remote support for mission-specific requirements.\n\nWork Schedule:\nFull-time, Monday-Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission-critical requirements).\nThis position requires minimal travel-up to 10% domestic travel as needed to meet customer and project requirements.\nKey Knowledge and Skills:\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).\n\n8+ years of experience in a cyber engineer role supporting enterprise software solutions.\n\nStrong experience in Linux and scripting.\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to relay technical information to customers and laypersons.\n\nInterest or experience in cybersecurity practices, methodologies, associated technologies, application design and development, or operational environments.\n\nWorking knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, etc.).\n\nBS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.\n\nDoDI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I; SANS GSEC, CISSP preferred.\n\nNice to Have:\nExperience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).\n\nWorking knowledge of virtualized and networked environments.\n\nStrong verbal and technical writing skills.\n\nExperience with security COTS product integration (e.g., firewall, web gateways, Data Loss Prevention).\n\nAbility to prepare documentation to support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities.\n\nApply knowledge of current Information Assurance (IA) policies as a contributor to the architecture and design of secure solutions to customer needs and requirements.\n\nA reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: $183,600-$221,600 USD Annual\nA reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:\nThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
