This role is instrumental in supporting a wide range of legal and compliance functions, ensuring efficient operations, and promoting legal and regulatory compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong contract and entity management skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset. It is an office-based position based in our Dallas Downtown headquarters.\n\nThe Role: This position includes, but is not limited to, the following functional responsibilities :\nContract Management (e.g., maintain organized records of all contracts, including saving revised and executed versions using established naming conventions, monitor and track automatic renewals, expirations, and notice deadlines, prepare signature packets and coordinate execution of agreements)\nCompliance and Licensing (e.g., support the tracking and timely filing of state licensing and registration renewals)\nForm and Document Management (e.g. maintain and update precedent documents and templates, conduct periodic reviews of lease forms to maintain consistency with lease and operational updates)\nLegal Support and Intake (e.g., serve as the first point of contact for routine legal requests, providing initial support and escalating matters to the legal team as appropriate)\nAdministrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, legal/compliance invoice tracking/management, assist with legal/compliance task coordination/prioritization)\nEntity Management (e.g., assist with the formation of new entities, maintaining good standing compliance, maintaining corporate organizational chart, routine governmental filings/applications)\nResearch/Legislative Monitoring (e.g., initial research and tracking of legislation related to SFR, property management, etc.)\nCorporate Governance (e.g., maintaining minute book and other corporate records)\nDocument Preparation (e.g., create initial drafts of routine documentation such as consents, standard form agreements, etc.)\nCovenant Compliance (e.g., review and summarize various high impact transaction documentation)\nDiligence Assistance (e.g., populating data rooms, reviewing documents before being uploaded, etc.)\nLitigation assistance, as needed\nQualifications and Experience\nMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant corporate paralegal experience\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university\nParalegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred\nStrong understanding of corporate and contract law\nExperience with residential real estate a plus\nProven experience with licensing, regulation and compliance matters\nExperience with multi-state entity management, including Secretary of State filings and maintaining corporate databases\nExceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project simultaneously\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centered approach to all interactions\nAbility to operate effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple teams\nDemonstrates a high-level of ownership and drive; collegial and transparent with a high level of integrity\nPlease do not rely on compensation estimates for our jobs that are posted on sites other than our direct website as these may be misleading. \nAbout Evergreen Residential\nFounded in 2021, Evergreen Residential is a full-service SFR platform leveraging proven operational practices and the latest technological advances to optimize investor returns and achieve positive outcomes for our residents and the communities in which we operate.
