We trust that you’ll bring industry experience and knowledge that will uplift and uplevel the team, but we don’t expect you to know everything on Day 1.\nIn your role, you'll...\nBuild AI platform capabilities that power product experiences such as Deep Dive, predictive coding, multi-modal understanding, agentic workflows, translations, search, review, and more.\nContribute to RAG, semantic retrieval, and agentic orchestration patterns, including indexing pipelines, query flows, tool-calling and planning logic, relevance tuning, benchmarking, and multi-modal workloads where applicable.\nCollaborate with Product, Platform, Security, and DevOps partners to build and ship new features in our production environments.\nHelp with scaling our system to larger datasets with hundreds of millions of documents. \nProvide Technical Mentorship to other engineers by both sharing your technical knowledge and becoming an expert in an area of our code base.\nBe a Code Reviewer by reviewing code developed by others using your knowledge of programming languages, design patterns, and best practices.\nFix defects in our product by triaging product or system issues and writing code to debug, track and resolve these issues.\nProvide on-call support for the product by answering questions from customers, triaging defects and exceptions, and carrying the pager.\nContribute to documentation for internal engineering consumption or for external the Everlaw platform.\nDo technical interviews to help us recruit engineers and grow the team.\nAbout you\nYou have a BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent coursework.\nYou have experience and proficiency in coding in a language such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Javascript, Go or Rust.\nYou have good knowledge of algorithms and fundamental computer science concepts, relational databases, API design, and building user interfaces\nYou have practical experience with AI/ML-powered systems such as retrieval pipelines, semantic search features, agentic pipelines, document classification systems, or LLM-integrated features.\nYou have work experience with AI development tools like Cursor and Claude Code, accelerating your planning, coding, and testing of production features.\nYou have at least 4 years of experience building distributed systems in the cloud with service based architecture, using frontend frameworks to create rich, deep, web applications, and experience with the best practices to test, maintain, and launch cloud based software.\nYou have at least 1 year of experience leading or coordinating multi-developer efforts, including planning and technical breakdown.\nPluses\nYou are familiar with building software on the AWS platform.\nYou are familiar with MySQL, Postgres\nYou are familiar with vector or graph databases\n You are familiar with LLMOps\nBenefits\nThe expected salary range for this role is between $173,000 - $251,000.
