We ensure that their gifts transform the lives of those suffering from blindness, and advance new treatments and cures for blindness.\nSummary\nEversight’s Tissue Recovery Supervisor provides frontline operational leadership for Recovery Technicians by ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant tissue recovery operations. This role balances approximately 50% clinical recovery responsibilities with operational oversight, technician development, scheduling, and workflow coordination. Working closely with the Recovery Operations Manager, the Recovery Supervisor supports daily operations, reinforces quality standards, and promotes employee development and continuous improvement.\nFair Labor Standards Act Status: Non-Exempt\nEssential Job Functions\nOversees day-to-day recovery operations while ensuring compliance with EBAA Medical Standards, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.\nDevelops monthly technician schedules and coordinates routine staffing adjustments to support operational readiness.\nServes as the first point of escalation for technician questions and operational issues and communicates significant concerns to the Recovery Operations Manager.\nMonitors recovery workflow, case progression, and operational priorities to support efficient recovery operations.\nPerforms tissue recoveries approximately 50% of scheduled work time while maintaining clinical competency and serving as a clinical resource for Recovery Technicians.\nServes as staff trainer by providing field-based coaching, onboarding support, competency assessments, post-graduation observations, and wet lab instruction.\nProvides day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback while documenting routine coaching conversations and identifying opportunities for employee development.\nCoordinates supply inventory and ordering to maintain operational readiness.\nSupports implementation of departmental workflows, process improvements, and operational initiatives by reinforcing new practices and providing frontline feedback.\nMonitors documentation quality and reinforces compliance with CPPs, SOPs, and best practices while escalating quality concerns as appropriate.\nAssists with technician interviews, onboarding activities, and partner education opportunities as assigned.\nParticipates in the Administrator On Call (AOC) rotation.\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.\nDemonstrates a commitment to the Mission and Values of Eversight.\nOther duties: New tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be added at any time, with or without notice. This job description is not intended to cover every task the employee may be required to perform.\nQualifications\nEducation: Undergraduate studies in healthcare, biological sciences, leadership, business, or a related field preferred.\nExperience: Minimum of three years of tissue recovery or comparable clinical experience required. Experience providing technician training, coaching, or operational leadership preferred.\nSkills: Strong leadership, communication, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Routine use of computer, cell phone and fax. Limited noise, room temperature fluctuation and dust are possible.\nFor clinical functions: Work is performed in a laboratory setting or a patient care setting, such as a hospital operating room or morgue, with potential exposure to communicable diseases or hazardous materials. Turning of a donor of up to 400 pounds, pushing a stretcher/morgue cart with a body of up to that weight and/or lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Time is spent sitting for long periods of time, as well as standing and walking. Simultaneous use of both hands is required. Movements such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and bending are sometimes required. Audio, visual and verbal functions are vital aspects of this position.
