Instead, the focus is on identifying practical ways AI can improve how developers work every day.\nYou will act as an AI lighthouse for our engineering organization, introducing AI tools, workflows, and prompt engineering practices that measurably improve developer productivity.\nThe role will initially focus on hands-on experimentation and high-impact initiatives, with the potential to grow into a small AI productivity function over time.\nWhat You'll get to do:\nDrive AI-Powered Developer Productivity:\nIdentify opportunities where AI can improve development workflows\n\nIntroduce AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation workflows\n\nReduce repetitive work and improve engineering velocity\n\nPrompt Engineering & AI Workflows:\nDevelop prompt libraries and playbooks for common engineering tasks\n\nTeach developers how to interact effectively with AI tools\n\nEstablish repeatable AI workflows across engineering teams\n\nAI Tooling & Internal Solutions:\nEvaluate and introduce AI tools that enhance developer productivity\n\nPrototype internal AI assistants for tasks such as codebase navigation, documentation, and knowledge discovery\n\nEnable AI Adoption:\nRun workshops and share best practices\n\nHelp teams adopt AI tools and workflows effectively across the organization\n\nSuccess Metrics\nSuccess in this role will be measured through tangible improvements in developer productivity, such as:\nFaster development cycle times\n\nReduced time spent on repetitive tasks\n\nIncreased adoption of AI-assisted workflows\n\nImproved developer experience and onboarding speed\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nBackground in software engineering, developer tooling, platform engineering, or developer productivity\n\nHands-on experience using AI tools or LLMs to support software development\n\nStrong understanding of modern developer workflows\n\nExperience with prompt engineering and AI-assisted development tools\n\nAbility to influence engineering teams and drive adoption of new practices\n\nStrong English communication skills\n\nThe ideal candidate actively experiments with AI tools in their own development workflows and has experience applying AI to improve software engineering productivity.\nHere's what we offer:\nStart with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us.\n\nHybrid work schedule is available after the first three months of employment, with up to 50 days of work from home per year.\n\nBenefit from two Free Fridays each year, limited to one per quarter.\n\n3 sick leave days per year, no doctor's note required.\n\nDaily catered lunch or monthly lunch allowance.\n\nPrivate Medical Subscription.\n\nAccess online learning platforms like Udemy for Business and LinkedIn Learning, and a budget for external training.\n\nAccess to an Employee Assistance Program through TELUS Health.\n\nOur office perks include parking, on-site massages, and frequent team-building activities in various locations.
