Join us as we charge forward. \nPosition Summary\nThe Sr. Associate, Construction Project Manager supports and co-manages EV charging infrastructure projects with growing independence, taking ownership of defined workstreams while working under the guidance of senior construction project managers. This role applies developing knowledge of construction project delivery to coordinate scheduling, documentation, contractor communication, and site tracking across an assigned project portfolio. The Sr. Associate is building toward independent project ownership, handles moderately complex coordination tasks with limited supervision, and contributes meaningfully to team execution and process improvement. \nResponsibilities \nProject Execution & Delivery \n\nCo-manage assigned EV charging construction projects under the supervision of a senior construction project manager, taking ownership of specific project workstreams from preconstruction through commissioning. \n\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, and status reports; flag variances and risks proactively to the supervising project manager. \n\nSupport change order tracking and documentation; assist with evaluation of scope change impacts on cost and schedule under senior guidance. \n\nConduct site visits to monitor construction progress, observe quality of work, and support punch walk documentation. \n\nMaintain complete project documentation including permits, contracts, inspection records, as-builts, and grant-related files. \n\nStakeholder & Contractor Coordination \n\nCoordinate with internal cross-functional teams on assigned project tasks, including Site Development, Development Engineering, Supply Chain, and Asset Management. \n\nCommunicate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors on day-to-day project coordination; track submittals, RFIs, and deliverable status with direction from senior construction managers. \n\nSupport utility and AHJ coordination, tracking interconnection milestones and permitting conditions; escalate delays or issues appropriately. \n\nPrepare and distribute meeting agendas and notes; track and follow up on action items with project stakeholders. \n\nRisk, Safety & Compliance \n\nIdentify and track project risks and open issues; maintain risk logs and escalate emerging concerns to the supervising project manager with recommended mitigation steps. \n\nObserve and support enforcement of safety standards and OSHA compliance on project sites; report site safety observations accurately. \n\nMaintain public funding documentation in accordance with NEVI, DOE, or state grant program requirements. \n\nTeam Development & Knowledge Sharing \n\nContribute to team process improvement by identifying documentation and workflow gaps and suggesting solutions. \n\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned to support team and organizational objectives. \n\nQualifications\nTypically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.\nDesired Skills\n\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. \n\nExperience in EV charging, electrical, civil, or distributed infrastructure construction. \n\nCAPM or PMP certification in progress or completed. \n\nAbility to travel to project sites regularly; estimated 15–25% travel. \n\nCombination of education and hands-on experience in lieu of a formal degree. \n\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and project workstreams with growing independence in a construction or infrastructure environment. \n\nWorking knowledge of construction scheduling, permitting processes, and contractor coordination. \n\nProficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent); experience with Salesforce or Sitetracker a plus. \n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate effectively across internal teams and external partners. \n\nBenefits and Perks\n\nHealth & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus mental wellbeing support and wellness programs\n\nFinancial Benefits: 401(k), Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for medical and dependent care, life and disability insurance\n\nWork-Life Support: Uncapped paid time off, enhanced parental leave, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nCare Navigation & Support: Access to Health Advocate services for help with claims, provider searches, and care decisions\n\nFlexible Care Options: Telehealth services for convenient, low-cost access to care\n\nGrowth & Development: Mentorship programs and opportunities for career growth and internal mobility\n\nAdditional Perks: Monthly Tech Stipend, one-time home office setup reimbursement, Volunteer time off, commuter benefits, and employee focused programs\n\nAdditional Information\n\nActual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
