If you're looking to work flexibly and with purpose, join a team that delivers measurable change for millions.\nThe Role\nThe Senior Program Coordinator will report to the Manager, Program Operations and will work in close coordination with various team members from the State and Field teams. The Senior Program Coordinator will lead and train a team of Field Coordinators who execute technical support and overall implementation of our Safe Water program.\nYou will oversee the installation, operation and coordination of designated sites, as well as the capacity building and community engagement activities around them, ensuring smooth and efficient stakeholder engagement. The Senior Program Coordinator will also maintain robust, up-to-date and high-quality internal information management systems to provide accurate and timely program recommendations.\nResponsibilities\nField Team Management (40%)\nLead, supervise and mentor the field team; set clear work plans, targets and accountability to meet implementation timelines.\nImplement trackers and train Field Coordinators on the Safe Water program that enable them to carry out device installation and operation duties effectively. \nConduct regular reviews, performance check-ins and on-the-job coaching; identify training needs of the field team.\nCarry out field visits to intervention locations to provide program and technical support as needed.\nOversee installation and ongoing maintenance of ILC devices, including chlorine supply, residual testing and timely fixes, so every device stays functional and up to standard. \nGovernment Liaisoning & Capacity Building at District & Block levels (30%)\nServe as the primary point of contact for district and block administrations and line departments (PHED/RWSS and Panchayati Raj).\nSecure approvals, permissions and coordination needed for installations and ongoing operations at district & block levels.\nDesign and deliver training, orientations and refresher sessions for district and block officials, engineers and frontline functionaries on ILC implementation, monitoring and community engagement.\nRepresent Evidence Action in district and block review meetings; share progress and resolve bottlenecks.\nEngage with government empanelled vendors, contractors and NGOs at district and block levels for program needs.\nDevelop simple training materials, SOPs and job aids adapted to the local context.\nProvide hands-on support to government counterparts and track the effectiveness ofcapacity-building efforts.\nMonitor Data Collection (30%)\nLead collection, quality assurance and timely reporting of field data (installations, functionality, chlorine residuals, O&M visits) through field team & guide the team in accordance with the instructions received from the State/ National Office Team.\nEnsure the team uses digital tools correctly; conduct data audits and back-checks and identify and flag gaps to State and National office teams.\nPrepare regular progress reports and dashboards for State & National Office teams.\nRequirements\nMinimum 10+ years of experience working with national / international development sector organizations, particularly on program implementation and delivery\nB.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Rural Management or a related field is an added advantage \nProven experience leading geographically dispersed teams and holding them accountable to targets and timelines\nPrior experience in program operations, project management, and vendor and stakeholder management\nStrong knowledge of the public sector, preferably water systems and WASH sector structures, Water treatment Plant (WTPs) and /or Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs).\nProven experience using digital data collection tools such as SurveyCTO \nStrong familiarity with the operational workflows of public health engineering and rural water supply systems (PHED/RWSS) is an added advantage\nExperience in building the capacity of government officials at district and block levels, including designing and delivering training \nFamiliarity with MS Office, Google Workspace or similar Tools \nFluent communication in English and Odiya is required; Hindi is preferred. \nWillingness to travel at least 70% of time in the field, with the remaining 30% in Bhubaneswar for reporting purposes\nDisclaimer\nThe duties and responsibilities provided above is a general outline of the typical responsibilities and requirements for the role. and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time.\nPosition Location\nThis position will be based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
