Stay for the culture.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nEvolent is building a new AI platform from the ground up, and this role owns the end-to-end program delivery. As Director, Strategic Initiatives, you will lead the strategy and execution of the AI-native platform components that every AI capability across the company will be built on. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in large-scale technology program leadership, platform modernization and application migration, and cross-functional delivery, with a demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, align diverse technical and business stakeholders, and drive sustainable delivery outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPlatform Program Leadership & Delivery\nLead end-to-end program delivery of the AI-native platform - managing program governance, risks, dependencies, and execution across multiple parallel workstreams.\nLead cross-functional alignment across architecture, engineering, product, data science, and business teams to manage dependencies, accelerate decision-making, and ensure platform capabilities deliver scalable operational outcomes, measurable business value, and sustainable adoption.\nEstablish and monitor KPIs and value realization metrics, including delivery milestones, platform performance, quality, adoption, financial impact, and stakeholder satisfaction; provide executive reporting on progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes.\n· Lead, coach and guide project managers, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.\nPlatform Migration & Adoption\nLead migration of AI agents and applications onto the new platform, including planning, testing, validation, and cutover.\nFacilitate platform onboarding standards, architecture patterns, and development requirements to ensure future AI capabilities are built natively on the platform.\nDrive architecture and design decisions that accelerate adoption while minimizing technical debt.\nTechnical Governance, Risk, and Responsible AI\nEmbed responsible AI, security, privacy, compliance, and clinical safety requirements into platform delivery.\nEnsure adherence to contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.\nIdentify and mitigate delivery, operational, technical, and compliance risks.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.\n7-10+ years of program management experience leading complex, cross-functional technology programs, including the development and implementation of net-new platform capabilities.\nDemonstrated experience leading architecture, engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver platform modernization initiatives and application migrations.\nDemonstrated success leading highly complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning business, operational, and technology stakeholders toward shared outcomes.\nDemonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment across competing stakeholder groups.\n· Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience developing and monitoring KPIs and value realization metrics to track delivery performance, adoption, risks, trends, and business outcomes.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMasters’s degree in Business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.\nProgram management certification (PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent).\nExperience delivering event-driven architectures, document or data processing pipelines, cloud-native platforms, or AI/ML and intelligent workflow solutions.\nWorking knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and prior authorization workflows.\nHealthcare, payer, provider, utilization management, or regulated industry experience preferred.\nWhy Join Us?\nOpportunity to lead the build-out of an AI-native platform from the ground up.\nCollaborative environment with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, product, data science, and operations.\nCompetitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.\nIf you are passionate about building the technology platform that powers AI in healthcare and want to play a pivotal role in shaping AI-driven transformation, we’d love to hear from you!\nTo ensure a secure hiring process we have implemented several identity verification steps, including submission of a government issued photo ID. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees.
