Stay for the culture.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nLead Software Engineer\nAbout the Role\nEvolent is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to be a key contributor in building scalable, secure, and high-performance healthcare applications. This role requires strong technical expertise along with the ability to lead design and development efforts, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using ASP.NET MVC, Web forms, .NET Core, C#, and SQL Server\nLead end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, and production support\nArchitect scalable and secure solutions by applying design patterns and principles\nProvide technical leadership to the team, conduct design/code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards\nCollaborate with product owners, QA, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality features\nDrive performance optimization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis\nContribute to modernization initiatives including migration to cloud-native or microservices-based architectures\nIdentify and recommend new technologies and tools to improve system performance, scalability, and developer productivity\nParticipate in deployment, release management, and production stability improvements\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture\n\nRequired Qualifications\n6-8 years of experience in software development\nStrong hands-on experience with:ASP.NET / .NET Core\nC#\nSQL Server\n Azure resources (functions, storage, keyvalut, App Config, App insights)\n\nSolid understanding of: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)\n Design patterns & Principles (SOLID, etc.)\nSoftware engineering best practices\n\nExperience in building scalable web applications and APIs\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment\nExperience with code reviews, CI/CD, and version control systems (Git)\nGood to Have\nExperience in application modernization / legacy transformation\nExposure to microservices architecture, cloud (Azure), or distributed systems\nKnowledge of healthcare domain / EMR / payer systems\nExperience with performance tuning and security practices\nSoft Skills\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to lead technical discussions and influence decisions\nProactive mindset with focus on ownership and delivery excellence\nTo ensure a secure hiring process we have implemented several identity verification steps, including submission of a government issued photo ID.
