Stay for the culture.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nJob Summary\nThis role implements, manages and continuously improves Microsoft 365 technologies, Intune Suite, Purview, Copilot and integrations with adjacent technologies. The engineer seeks to automate or eliminate repeatable tasks and reduce administrative overhead for themselves and workplace operations, including configuration variations, performance issues on endpoint devices and security vulnerabilities. The engineer also collaborates with technology vendors, product managers, IT security and legal or compliance teams to ensure alignment with company policy and applicable legislation.\nThis role also builds automation and agentic AI-powered workflows-writing code and configuring AI agents-to reduce manual effort and scale the impact of the digital workplace team.\nThis is an individual-contributor role that executes within the engineering standards, architecture and AI governance guardrails established by Lead-level engineers. The Sr Digital Workplace Engineer focuses on hands-on implementation, testing and day-to-day operation of assigned systems, automation and AI agents.\nEssential Functions\nImplement, monitor and operate digital workplace technologies (endpoint hardware, software, services and SaaS tools)\nIntegrate digital workplace technologies with adjacent technologies (identity, security, vulnerability management, IT service and asset management, remote access, backup, directory services, etc.)\nEnsure stability and security of digital workplace technology through effective endpoint management and timely patching\nSupport security operations processes by monitoring and reporting anomalies related to devices and identities\nActively participate in resolving high-priority outages, troubleshooting efforts and capacity/availability planning sessions\nWork on various digital workplace technology projects\nCreate, publish and communicate knowledgebase articles\nAssess criticality of services and applications and automate testing of those deemed critical before patching and upgrading\nProvide IT support for issues escalated from level 1 or level 2\nParticipate in the major incident management process to investigate, diagnose and remediate digital workplace technology outages\nWrite and maintain scripts, integrations and automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar) that reduce manual, repetitive work across digital workplace operations\nBuild, test and operate agentic AI workflows using established templates, guardrails and platforms\nDocument and share reusable automation and AI agent patterns through the team knowledge base to accelerate adoption across the organization\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years managing or supporting IT systems and platforms\n3+ years of experience implementing digital employee experience (DEX), endpoint management, analytics and automation tools\nExperience with standard IT operations frameworks (e.g., ITIL)\nExperience with scripting tools and languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)\nExperience with configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, desktop virtualization, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services\nExperience implementing modern management of endpoint devices\nExperience with continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity\nAbility to write technical documentation\nDemonstrated proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (PowerShell, Python, or similar) with concrete examples of automation, integration or tooling delivered\nWorking knowledge of agentic AI concepts (agents, tool/function calling, LLM integration) and experience configuring or extending agents on at least one low-code/no-code AI platform within existing organizational guardrails\nPreferred Qualifications\nNatural excitement and ability to learn technologies and explain technical issues to a variety of audiences and levels\nPassionate about DEX, with an awareness of the latest digital trends\nExperience building a proof-of-concept AI agent or automation using a low-code AI agent platform\nInterest in or prior participation, as a contributor rather than a lead, in AI enablement initiatives, agentic AI pods, or similar cross-functional automation efforts\nPreferred Education\nBachelor’s degree in IT or related field.\nPreferred Certifications\nMicrosoft 365, Intune and related certifications\nGeneral Performance Criteria\nAs the Sr Digital Workplace Engineer, you will be required to fulfill your responsibilities while meeting the following general performance criteria for this position at this level:\nExpertise: You research, create proof of concepts, and introduce new methods\nCommunication: You guide others through problem solving whether it is a technical issue, project impediment, or conflict\nDomain: [redacted]  You question the status quo in a constructive manner to find areas for the team to improve\nInfluence: You regularly make an impact to your entire team\nTo ensure a secure hiring process we have implemented several identity verification steps, including submission of a government issued photo ID.
