We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.\nEvolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.\nAs well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.\nAs part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Buyer to develop and maintain relationships for categories of spend in order to support the business with direct materials for the production of Evolito products.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nOwning the delivery of a defined category of spend including working with internal and external stakeholders to assess manufacturability and deliverability of parts, identifying suppliers and appropriate supply routes aligned to production requirements\n\nManaging suppliers through appropriate governance depending on the complexity and criticality of the commodity and/or supplier risk\n\nNegotiating pricing aligned to expected forecast and challenging supplier costs\n\nDeveloping and maintaining relationships with key suppliers within commodity scope and driving through deliverables.\n\nOwning procurement activities for the category of spend including managing procurement activity in line with production requirements, expediting parts, supplier returns, manage supplier KPIs, and invoice queries for responsible categories\n\nOwning sourcing and make vs buy decisions relating to commodity scope with internal stakeholders\n\nWorking with operations and planning to align procurement activities to production requirements for both development and production standard manufacturing activity\n\nSupporting supplier quality approval processes and co-ordinating open actions on quality deliverables\n\nManaging and resolving any delivery escalation items\n\nSupporting cost reduction and change management initiatives, and be involved with continuous improvement activities\n\nSkills and experience required:\nQualified to CIPS Level 4 or equivalent experience\n\nPrevious proven experience working in a similar role within Procurement\n\nExperience working within a manufacturing environment (automotive, aerospace, industrial)\n\nExperience working with MRP systems\n\nStrong communication and negotiation skills\n\nAbility to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)\n\nProactive, positive and creative approach to problem solving\n\nAbility to read and understand technical drawings\n\nA flexible approach to work\n\nWillingness and ability to travel.\n\nDesirable:\nExperience of analysing and negotiating open book costing\n\nGood knowledge of range of manufacturing techniques and processes\n\nExperience in negotiating and monitoring
