We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.\nEvolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.\nAs well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.\nAs part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for aPower Electronics Test Engineer to join the team to validate and verify power electronics design of high voltage three phase inverters for electric propulsion systems.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nDevelop test systems for, and perform, dynamic switching, loss, and thermal characterisations of SiC MOSFETs and three phase inverters\n\nConduct component and equipment level tests for filter components including DC link capacitors and CM inductors\n\nSupport test and integration of three phase inverters with motors\n\nSupport and develop automated calibration of sensors utilised in Evolito propulsion systems\n\nSupport with commissioning of test equipment including systems under test\n\nSupport test planning and execution of power electronics systems in accordance with overall program\n\nProduce test cases, methods and procedures in accordance with equipment requirement\n\nDeliver test reports and documentation to support certification activities and regulatory approvals\n\nLead root-cause investigations of failures and define corrective actions, coordinating cross-functional teams and applying structured problem-solving methodologies.\n\nContribute to the advancement of departmental technologies, capabilities, facilities, and processes\n\nProvide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.\n\nSkills and experience required:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent demonstrable industrial experience\n\nPrevious proven experience in electronics design, preferably within aerospace, defence or automotive industry\n\nStrong understanding and experience with wide bandgap switching devices (SiC MOSFETs), gate drive design and protection circuits, and/or the fundamentals of three phase inverter systems\n\nHands-on experience with power electronics design verification and fault diagnosis\n\nExperience with ‘Double Pulse Tests’, MOSFET thermal path characterisation and motor integration tests\n\nExperience in parameter validation of wideband gap devices and associated test platforms\n\nExperienced with the use of lab equipment such as oscilloscope, function generator, and impedance analyser\n\nWorking knowledge of Vector CAN tools such as CANape is desirable\n\nProficient in use of MATLAB scripts for data analysis and Altium Designerto read relevant circuit diagrams\n\nExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)\n\nGood collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams\n\nInstinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach\n\nA 'self-starter' attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment\n\nResults-orientated, with a focus on delivering outcomes aligned to business objectives\n\nAn interest in continuous professional development and combining experience with new or novel techniques\n\nA flexible approach to work.\n\nDesirable:\nKnowledge of aerospace or MIL standards.\n\nAre you Evolito?","description_format":"text","description_chars":3752,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Electrical & Electronic Engineering","Space & Aerospace","Game Design"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-28T09:29:49Z"}],"liveness":{"score":24,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.43,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":23,"expected_fill_days":21,"reasons":["conf:3","stale_co","velocity","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-02T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/evolito-power-electronics-test-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/evolito-power-electronics-test-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-03T01:04:56Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":909,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4091,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-04T00:00:00Z"}}}
