We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.\nEvolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.\nAs well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.\nAs part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the team to design, develop and verify control electronics for electric propulsion systems. We are looking for candidates with experience developing electronic hardware for aerospace applications or equivalent experience in other safety-critical industries.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nEngineer and implement control electronics for high-voltage inverter systems supporting electric propulsion applications\n\nDesign mixed-signal electronics incorporating microcontrollers, sensor interfaces, monitoring and protection functions\n\nDevelop electronics and communication interfaces to support robust aircraft integration\n\nDesign low-voltage power supply systems\n\nWork closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Software and Mechanical Engineers, to deliver fully integrated solutions\n\nOwn electronics work packages from requirements capture and architecture development through detailed design, implementation, verification and release\n\nMake and document technical decisions and trade-offs within the delegated area of responsibility, ensuring that safety, certification, performance, manufacturability and product lifecycle considerations are addressed\n\nLead electronics design reviews ensuring that technical risks are addressed\n\nLead structured investigations into hardware failures and non-conformances, establish root cause, define corrective and preventive actions, and verify their effectiveness\n\nEstablish and maintain bidirectional traceability between allocated requirements, design implementation, analyses and verification evidence\n\nContribute to production, review and maintenance of applicable DO-254 hardware lifecycle data and compliance evidence such as design descriptions, analysis and test reports\n\nSkills and experience required:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent demonstrable industrial experience\n\nPrevious proven experience in electronics design, including experience in developing electronic hardware for aerospace or another safety-critical industry\n\nStrong understanding of requirements-based development, hardware requirements capture, design assurance, verification evidence and problem reporting\n\nExperienced with mixed-signal control electronics design\n\nPrevious experience of modelling, simulation and analysis of electronic circuits using SPICE simulation tools such as LTSpice or Simetrix\n\nProficiency in professional ECAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout\n\nStrong working knowledge of Altium Designer\n\nExperience performing and documenting design assurance analyses including worst-case error, tolerance, component electrical and thermal stress analysis and assessment of results against allocated requirements and design limits\n\nWorking knowledge of designing for EMC compliance and best practices\n\nFamiliarity with Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles\n\nFamiliarity with aerospace hardware development and environmental qualification standards, including DO-254 and DO-160, or equivalent standards from another safety-critical industry, is expected\n\nHands-on experience with electronics design verification, fault diagnosis and use of lab equipment such as oscilloscope, function generator, impedance analyser etc\n\nExperienced in generating technical documentation for project milestones and regulatory approval such as design descriptions, interface definitions and analysis reports\n\nExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams\n\nStrong problem-solving skills coupled with a structured analytical approach\n\nA 'self-starter' attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment\n\nAbility to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines\n\nA flexible approach to work.\n\nAre you
