We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.\nEvolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.\nAs well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.\nAs part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to electric propulsion system development, validation and verification activities on programs to be certifiable under the guidelines of SAE ARP4754A, up to Functional Design Assurance Level (FDAL) A.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nContribute to new program and system concept design activities, including internal new product developments, or customer-driven applications, through the technology roadmap and ultimately to system/product launch\nSupport analysis of customer requirements and management throughout the development lifecycle\nAssist or author requirement specifications for flow down to sub-systems, suppliers and/or sub-contractor(s)\nAuthor/support interface control documents and ensure alignment with internal and customer requirements\nCollaborate with the safety & reliability, simulation, analysis, mechanical design engineers teams to assist with architecting the system\nEvaluate the suitability of the system architecture and make recommendations as appropriate\nSupport customers, partners and suppliers with systems integration of electric motors and controllers\nDevelop system test strategies showing traceability and compliance to customer and system requirements\nPerform system Validation and Verification test activities\nProduce Validation and Verification evidence to support certification\nSupport resource estimation and risk management\nSkills and experience required:\nDegree or equivalent in electrical, systems engineering or other relevant technical domain\nDemonstrated experience of systems engineering principles throughout design, development and delivery\nExperience with requirements and lifecycle management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, codeBeamer\nAbility to deal with system design complexity and a degree of ambiguity\nCreative problem solver, with a logical approach to implementing solutions\nStrong communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams\nA flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment\nSelf-motivated with the determination to succeed\nAn interest in continuous professional development and combining experience with new or novel techniques\nWillingness to travel as required.\nDesirable:\nFamiliarity with ARP4761 (aerospace safety analysis techniques)\nFamiliarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methods\nKnowledge of motor control algorithms and implementation\nEncouraging the use of development best practices and support
