You’ll join a leading engineering company in Bucharest, part of an international group involved in major infrastructure and industrial developments across Europe. With strong expertise in water treatment, civil works, hydraulics, energy, and automation, you’ll find a place where your work truly matters and where collaboration, innovation, and modern digital tools shape every project.\nIn this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and operational performance of mechanical equipment within municipal water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. Acting as a key technical interface between engineering, construction, and commissioning teams, you will help ensure that systems are installed according to design specifications, delivered on schedule, and operate safely and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.\nThis is an on-site role, based in a modern office located just 5 minutes from Pipera metro station, with regular presence on project sites as required.\nIf this opportunity aligns with your experience and aspirations, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and let's explore how you can become part of our team.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate and supervise the installation of mechanical and hydromechanical equipment, including centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, dosing pumps, valves (knife gate, butterfly, gate valves), blowers, mixers, and screening systems.\n\nOversee commissioning and start-up activities for municipal water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities.\n\nPerform post-installation inspections, testing, calibration activities, and mechanical checks to ensure compliance with design and operating parameters.\n\nDiagnose and support the resolution of mechanical issues affecting water and wastewater treatment processes.\n\nReview and interpret technical documentation, including construction drawings, P&ID diagrams, isometric drawings, and mechanical installation details.\n\nContribute to project planning by defining installation sequences, execution timelines, and integration into the overall project schedule.\n\nProvide technical support to the Project Manager throughout project execution and contract delivery.\n\nMonitor installation progress and prepare periodic status reports for project stakeholders.\n\nCollaborate closely with process, electrical, automation, and civil engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.\n\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all site activities.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in water treatment and/or wastewater treatment projects, preferably within municipal treatment facilities.\n\nProven hands-on experience with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of hydromechanical equipment.\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems and their integration with automation and SCADA environments.\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, mechanical layouts, and construction documentation.\n\nExperience coordinating on-site installation activities and managing subcontractors or installation teams.\n\nGood organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within strict project deadlines.\n\nStrong commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, particularly in confined spaces and potentially hazardous environments.\n\nValid Category B driving licence.\n\nEnglish: Conversational level, with the ability to communicate with international stakeholders and understand technical documentation.\n\nFrench: Considered an advantage.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3803,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All
