Ltd.\nWork location : Dombivli\nPurpose of the position :\nTo standardize ESH practices at ECI.\nTo develop, implement, and drive strategic and operational ESHQ leadership.\nThe incumbent sets the direction for the ESHQ program to improve or introduce new policies, set quality standards, procedures, practices, parameters and manages its execution.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMaintain a safe working environment at site.\nImplementation of Evonik’s Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Policy. Planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of Occupational health, safety, environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees.\nResponsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) & Environment Management System (EMS).\nDirect environmental compliance programs related to hazardous wastes, air permitting, and water pollution control.\nDesign & impart training to nurture an Injury free Organization.\nLead and support safety initiatives and processes to drive towards zero recordable injuries.\nEnsure effective implementation of QMS as per ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 to achieve set objectives.\nAssist in new employee occupational health, safety and environmental orientation. Ensure periodical health checkup of employees.\nConduct Safety Committee meetings. Lead and support safety initiatives and processes to drive towards zero recordable injuries.\nAct as a core Emergency Response Team member to handle emergency.\nImplementation and maintenance of the environmental management system.\nContinuous follow up and enhancing the S.A.F.E. score.\nPractice of ensuring that a workplace is continually safe.\nInterview employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents.\nEHSQ budget preparation and monitoring.\nMonitoring, supporting, guiding for meeting timeline of all the EHS activities.\nEnsure promotion of customer focus within the department, as applicable. \nEnsure compliance of Safety standards at workplace including PPE’s in working environment.\nResponsible for handling ESHQ audit and coordinating other site audits. \nCoordination with statutory authorities for regulatory topics.\nManage the site security topics\nCatalysts India ESH Coordinator-\nStandardize practices at site.\nDevelop and monitor ESH objectives and targets.\nSupport ESH due diligence for the site.\nInvestigate major incidents at Company and report to management.\nSupporting APS and corporate ESH for execution of ESTER project at site.\nFollow-up on audit observations and recommendations.\nEstablish ESH communication within site to share best practices and lesson learned.\nDrive ‘Safety at Evonik- Basic Principles of Safe Behavior’ program implementation at site.\nEnsure ‘Emergency Communication’ team established at site and known of press communication tools. Provide support to team in case of emergency situations.\nEducation & Experience Required\nBachelor’s degree in Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent discipline.\n10-12 years of relevant experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), including sound knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nTechnical & Functional Expertise\nIn-depth understanding of EHS regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.\nExperience in implementing and monitoring safety, health, and environmental management systems.\nProven ability to liaise and coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external agencies.\nKnowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, audit management, and compliance reporting.\nAdditional Skills & Competencies\nStrong organizational, planning, and coordination skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage priorities in a self-organized manner.\nExperience collaborating effectively with remote and cross-functional teams.\nStrong team player with excellent communication and relationship management skills.\nAbility to influence stakeholders and drive EHS initiatives across the organization.\nPreferred Candidate Profile\nHands-on experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or process industry environment.\nStrong regulatory and statutory compliance exposure.\nDemonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders, including government and regulatory authorities.\nProactive, solution-oriented, and capable of driving a strong safety culture within the organization.\nYour Application\nTo ensure that your application is proceeded as quickly as possible and to protect the environment, please apply online via our careers portal.
