And Be Part of Something Special!\nFind out more about the many benefits we offer:\nhttps://www.evonik.com/en/careers/why.html\nMeet the team and get to know the people behind Evonik:\nhttps://www.evonik.com/en/news/meet-the-team.html\nThe successful candidate will independently perform complex laboratory tests, prepare samples and formulations, operate and maintain analytical and processing equipment, and accurately document and interpret experimental results.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nConduct experimental tests to support application testing, product development, and technical service for IPA Applied Technology, with minimal supervision.\nRoutinely operate instruments and equipment utilized in the laboratory.\nInterpret data, identify trends or anomalies, provide accurate and timely technical summaries, and recommend potential solutions.\nAssist in establishing new and optimizing existing test methods.\nManage the calibration, maintenance, and repair tasks for all laboratory instrumentation.\nMaintain documentation and record-keeping in Smart Lab Notebook system.\nManage chemical inventory according to site policy\nEnsure compliance with all Evonik site safety procedures and guidelines.\nEnforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment, the proper handling of hazardous chemicals and the proper management of waste accumulation and disposal.\nLead lab Design Hazard Review processes, and conduct regular safety audits.\n REQUIREMENTS\nBS or higher degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering or with 1+ years of technical experience in chemical industry is preferred.\nPrior experience in formulating, and market introduction of, Polyurethane and/or Plastic Compounds preferred.\nSelf-starter and proactive with excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to interact with and advise customers.\nExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal).\nStrong Team Player; must be able to work within multifunctional, multiregional teams.\nThe Evonik Group adopts an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) approach.
