are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor - Early Pharmaceutics to support the successful delivery of formulation development activities while leading laboratory operations and supporting the growth of a talented scientific team.\nThis role is ideal for someone who combines basic knowledge with excellent operational management, and a passion for creating a safe, collaborative, and high-performing laboratory environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage day-to-day laboratory activities for assigned formulation projects, providing guidance and support to scientists to ensure high-quality scientific delivery.\n\nProvide technical and operational support to Research Experts and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards.\n\nSupervise project scope changes, resource requirements, workload planning, and tracking of project activities.\n\nSupport project management activities, including budget tracking, forecasting, status reporting, and delivery updates.\n\nEnsure laboratory practices comply with SOPs, quality standards, IOPs, and Health & Safety requirements.\n\nPromote safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations.\n\nIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance laboratory processes and ways of working.\n\nSupport team development through regular coaching, feedback, and development discussions.\n\nCoordinate workload prioritisation and resource planning to support business and project needs.\n\nAct as a point of support for resolving laboratory, project delivery, and operational challenges.\n\nCore Competencies Required:\nLaboratory Leadership - Ability to organise and oversee laboratory activities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.\n\nPeople Management & Coaching - Ability to support, motivate, and develop scientists while building an inclusive and collaborative team environment.\n\nOperational Excellence - Strong focus on efficient laboratory practices, process improvement, and delivery of commitments.\n\nProject Coordination - Ability to manage priorities, track activities, and support successful project execution in discussion with TTMs.\n\nScientific Problem Solving - Ability to apply formulation knowledge to support decision-making and resolve technical challenges.\n\nCommunication & Collaboration - Ability to work effectively with scientists, TTMs, project teams, and senior stakeholders.\n\nOrganisation & Planning - Strong ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on quality and timelines.\n\nSafety & Quality Mindset - Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and responsible working environment.\n\nKey Skills & Experience:\nMSc (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Drug Delivery, or a related discipline.\n\n5-6+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in early formulation development or preclinical/analytical development.\n\nExperience managing or supervising laboratory teams.\n\nExperience supporting project delivery, resource planning, and laboratory operations.\n\nExcellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced scientific environment.\n\nExperience with budget tracking, forecasting, or financial awareness would be advantageous.\n\nCommitment to continuous improvement, scientific excellence, and developing people.\n\nLanguages\nExcellent written and spoken English is
