We’re market leaders and we invest to keep on growing. \nWe aim to think inside and outside the box, striving to be the carrier of choice for every consumer in the UK. \nWe currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for HGV Class 1 Day Drivers (or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growing Normanton Depot.\n\nWhat You’ll Do: \nOur HGV Class 1 drivers usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in the EVRi network. You’ll ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely; paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weather don’t always play nicely, so you’ll need to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route. \nOur HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekends. \n\nWhat We Can Offer You: \n£17.08 per hour with an overtime rate of £25.62 \nIn addition to our competitive salary, 3% contribution into your pension & life assurance. On top of this, we deliver a fantastic range of flexible benefits. Whether it's shopping vouchers, insurance or healthcare we offer some great perks tailored to you as an individual. \n Essential Skills & Experience Required: \nYou’ll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) entitlements, driver's CPC and digital tachograph. Newly qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment. \n· Excellent communication skills \n· A safety-first mindset \n· Reasonable physical fitness \nFeeling ambitious? This role opens exciting opportunities for career progression, both within the team and wider business. \nAt Evri, we know we only grow if our people do too. That’s why we’re committed to building a truly inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can bring – and be – their whole authentic selves. We’re on a journey to better represent the customers we serve around the UK. We’re committed to removing barriers and ensure that each person at Evri is valued for who they are, and what they bring to our business. We are Evri. Where everyone is welcome \nWe’re excited for the future. Let’s deliver it together.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2390,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Courier Services"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T20:42:46Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker; Skilled Worker","cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-03T21:09:13+00:00","sources":["UK Home Office: register of licensed sponsors (workers)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":60,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.598,"p_room":1,"age_days":6,"expected_fill_days":29,"reasons":["conf:0","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-05T05:45:15Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/evri-cat-ce-driver-days","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/evri-cat-ce-driver-days.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-06T01:58:21Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2912,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":2088,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-07T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1786042},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1786042"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fevri-cat-ce-driver-days"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fevri-cat-ce-driver-days"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fevri-cat-ce-driver-days"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/evri-cat-ce-driver-days\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fevri-cat-ce-driver-days"}]}
