operation\nWe’re looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join Evri Premium in Coventry, taking a key role in the delivery of a safe, legally compliant and cost-efficient transport operation.\nReporting to the Transport Manager, you’ll combine transport leadership, compliance, commercial awareness and data-led decision making to drive performance across a fast-paced operation.\nYou’ll lead and develop your team, maintain high operational standards and ensure we continue to deliver a first-class service for both our internal customers and external clients.\nThe role\nAs Transport Operations Manager, you’ll support the Transport Manager and wider Operations team in delivering against our service, cost, compliance and Health & Safety objectives.\nYou’ll use operational data to understand performance, identify root causes and drive improvement, while ensuring robust transport processes and standards are consistently maintained.\nYou’ll also play an important role in planning for Peak and changing operational demand, ensuring the right resource and transport plans are in place to deliver against forecasted volumes.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for\nLeading and developing Shift Managers and their teams to deliver a safe, compliant and high-performing transport operation.\nSupporting transport planning to deliver against performance, compliance and client service requirements.\nMonitoring operational costs and performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and demonstrating strong cost control.\nUsing transport data and management information to identify trends, challenge performance and drive improvement.\nUsing vehicle telemetry to improve driving standards, fleet efficiency and fuel performance.\nEnsuring compliance with transport legislation, Operator Licence requirements and internal standards.\nCompleting Health & Safety and quality audits, risk assessments and safe systems of work across Transport.\nProducing detailed shift and performance reports, identifying root causes behind missed KPIs and implementing clear improvement plans.\nDeveloping robust plans for Peak and changes in forecasted volumes, ensuring appropriate resource and transport capacity.\nDriving consistent operational standards and continuous improvement across the function.\nLeading regular 1:1s, performance reviews and team meetings to develop and engage colleagues.\nBuilding strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to deliver excellent service.\nWhat we’re looking for\nYou’ll be an experienced transport leader with strong operational knowledge and the ability to use data to influence decisions and drive performance.\nYou’ll bring:\nA CPC National qualification, with the ability to be a named CPC holder on the Operator Licence.\nStrong experience within transport operations and a detailed understanding of transport processes and compliance.\nProven experience leading and developing high-performing operational teams.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to use data to influence, challenge and improve performance.\nExperience managing operational performance, costs and KPIs.\nThe ability to work independently and make confident decisions within a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nGood IT skills and confidence working with transport management systems.\nExperience with systems such as Isotrak, TMS and Tachomaster would be advantageous.\nA full current driving licence.\nReady to take the next step?\nIf
