looking for an experienced Day Shift Supervisor to join our team at Avonmouth Depot, helping to lead a busy operation and ensure we continue delivering a great service for our customers.\nThe Role\nAs Day Shift Supervisor, you’ll work closely with the Shift Manager to ensure the smooth running of the operation, leading and supporting our frontline teams across the depot.\nYou’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day performance, making sure parcels move through the operation safely and efficiently while maintaining strong standards across service, productivity and compliance.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for motivating your team, managing performance and making sure the shift delivers against its operational targets.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nLead, motivate and manage a team of frontline colleagues across the shift.\nEnsure operational targets and SLAs are achieved.\nMonitor performance and take action where improvements are needed.\nCoach and develop colleagues to build a high-performing team.\nEnsure compliance with site Health, Safety, Environment and Security requirements.\nUse BI and MI reporting to monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.\nSupport effective resource planning to meet changing operational volumes.\nManage priorities, deadlines and operational challenges throughout the shift.\nWork closely with the wider Depot Management team to maintain service and operational standards.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re looking for someone who is confident leading people in a fast-paced environment and comfortable taking ownership of shift performance.\nYou’ll ideally have:\nPrevious experience leading or managing a team.\nThe ability to motivate, coach and manage performance effectively.\nExperience within logistics, warehousing, distribution or a similarly fast-paced operation would be advantageous.\nStrong organisational and problem-solving skills.\nConfidence working under pressure and to tight deadlines.\nGood communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office.\nAn understanding of transport
