We're looking for an experienced Hub Engineer to join our Rugby operation, playing a key role in keeping our automated sortation equipment and hub systems running safely and efficiently.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, preventing downtime and making a real impact on operational performance.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Hub Engineer, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of electrical and mechanical equipment across the hub. Working as part of the engineering team, you'll carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, helping to ensure our operations run smoothly around the clock.\nYou'll be involved in fault finding, equipment optimisation and continuous improvement activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nCarrying out planned preventative maintenance across hub machinery and equipment\nDiagnosing faults and responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise operational downtime\nMaintaining and improving the performance of conveyors, sortation systems and associated equipment\nEnsuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and safe systems of work\nRecording maintenance activities accurately using the CMMS system\nSupporting engineering performance targets and continuous improvement projects\nManaging contractors on site, including permits to work and safety requirements\nMonitoring spare parts and highlighting stock requirements\nSupporting the reliability of key operational systems including generators, safety equipment and automated handling systems\nWhat We're Looking For\nEngineering qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent experience\nStrong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial or automated environment\nKnowledge of PLCs, ideally Siemens S7, SCADA systems and industrial networks\nExperience fault finding on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors and low-voltage systems\nPrevious experience working with conveyors, sortation equipment or automated machinery\nStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nCommitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards\nMEWP/access equipment licence would be advantageous\nWhy Join Evri?\nAt Evri, we're committed to creating a workplace where colleagues can develop their careers, make a difference and be part of a business that's constantly evolving.
