You’ll partner closely with Agile Delivery Managers, Staff & Principal Engineers and Product teams to drive clear priorities, strong technical execution and a healthy engineering culture.\nYou'll champion modern engineering practices, build an inclusive environment, and continuously foster growth, engagement and collaboration across your teams.\n\nResponsibilities\nLine-manage engineers, supporting growth, wellbeing and performance through coaching and continuous feedback.\nBuild an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture centred on collaboration and psychological safety.\nWork with Agile Delivery Managers to plan, prioritise and deliver high-quality, predictable outcomes.\nPartner with Staff/Principal Engineers to uphold technical excellence, good system design and engineering standards.\nDrive alignment to engineering strategy; identify gaps and improvement opportunities across teams.\nOwn hiring and onboarding for your teams, ensuring a smooth, positive candidate experience.\nSupport domain-level strategy by feeding insight and influencing decisions through the Senior Engineering Manager.\nMonitor and improve delivery metrics (e.g., cycle time, predictability, defect rates).\nRemove blockers and escalate risks impacting delivery or team wellbeing.\nChampion best practices across engineering, delivery and continuous improvement.\n\nInterested? Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:\nProven experience managing software engineering teams within Agile environments.\nStrong understanding of modern engineering practices - CI/CD, automated testing, cloud-native development and security-focused engineering.\nExperience in performance management, coaching and developing engineering talent.\nSkilled in building inclusive team cultures that encourage innovation, autonomy and continuous improvement.\nAbility to influence technical decisions without needing to be hands-on day-to-day.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nCompetent in hiring, onboarding and resource planning.\nFamiliarity with delivery metrics and continuous improvement methodologies.\nBS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.\n\nAt Evri, we know we only grow if our people do too.
