If you’re ready to open Parramatta’s newest icon, this is your cue.\n\nWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to champion the hotel’s growth and build new business from day one. In this pivotal role, you will actively promote the hotel in the market and drive long lasting relationships. You’ll maximise revenue by identifying opportunities, driving sales conversion, and executing effective business development and account management strategies.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDrive proactive sales for the hotel, with a minimum of 50 sales calls, site inspections or face-to-face client visits each week.\nProspect new clients daily through outbound calls, email campaigns and LinkedIn engagement to generate qualified leads.\nConvert MICE and room night leads, winning business from competitors through face-to-face and voice conversations.\nManage and grow a portfolio of the hotel’s Top 30 key accounts, with tailored account plans and regular business reviews.\nBuild strong relationships with Professional Conference Organisers, Travel Management Companies and industry partners, and develop strategic B2B partnerships.\nRepresent the hotel at trade shows, networking functions and client events, and host familiarisations that showcase our accommodation, conferencing and food and beverage offerings.\n\nContribute to a high-performing Sales culture by meeting budget and KPI targets, providing mentoring to colleagues, maintaining strong cross-department relationships, and upholding company standards and procedures.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nProven ability to drive new business and deliver revenue growth across rooms, conferences, and events, with a solid understanding of market segments and pricing strategies.\nConfidence negotiating rates, tenders and partnerships across the corporate, MICE, leisure, PCO and TMC segments\nExperience contributing to and executing hotel sales plans, including accurate reporting, forecasting, and participation in pipeline-driven sales meetings.\nDemonstrated success managing key accounts—developing account plans, reviewing performance, nurturing relationships, and growing account revenue.\nStrong commercial acumen with the ability to prepare RFPs, meet budgets, and achieve KPIs such as call activity, conversion, and new business targets.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining professional, respectful interactions.\nHighly organised and detail-driven, ensuring CRM accuracy, adherence to standard operating procedures, and effective collaboration across hotel departments. \n How You Work\nInclusive leader — values diverse perspectives; builds belonging.\nOwner’s mindset — acts on data/feedback; ships improvements.\nResilient and solutions-focused — stays calm, moves fast.\nGrowth mindset — learns, shares, and levels up others.\n\nPerks from Day One\nAs part of EVT, you unlock Elevate Perks from your first day.
