In thisdual role, you will transport materials between our locations and assist in daily yard operations. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of the branch as you assist customers and maintain inventory while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront of your work.\nAs a CDL Driver and Yard Associate, your interaction with customers will be crucial in providing them with the best experience possible. You’ll be expected to exhibit exceptional customer service skills along with the ability to operate various equipment and vehicles.\nResponsibilities\nTransport materials to and from retail or distribution centers.\nCustomer job site and warehouse delivery\nAssist in yard operations, including loading, unloading, and moving product\nInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance\nPlan routes and meet delivery schedules\nComply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.\nCommunicate effectively with customers and team members to fulfill orders and resolve issues\nReport defects, accidents, or violations\nRequirements\n Proven work experience as a CDL Driver\n Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)\n Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations\n No recent moving or driving violations\n Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)\n Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment
