This role will partner closely with leaders across the organization to support budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and comfortable working with data to deliver meaningful business insights. This position offers broad exposure across the organization and the opportunity to contribute to key financial planning processes while supporting senior leadership and business partners. We are open to hiring at either the Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst level. The level and compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capabilities.\nThis role is primarily based on-site in our Carlsbad office, with occasional remote flexibility.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range planning processes\nPartner with department leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and resource plans\nPerform monthly variance analysis and identify key business drivers\nDevelop and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making\nSupport workforce planning, headcount reporting, and labor analysis\nAssist with executive, board, and management reporting\nMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights\nSupport financial systems administration, reporting enhancements, and process improvements\nPerform ad hoc analyses and special projects to support leadership decision-making\nAssist with revenue, gross margin, and COGS-related analyses as needed\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field\n2-4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, business analytics, or a related discipline\nStrong analytical and financial modeling skills\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills\nStrong communication and presentation skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting\nExperience partnering directly with department leaders and management\nAdvanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities\nExperience presenting financial results and recommendations to leadership\nAbility to work independently and drive projects to completion\nDemonstrated ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within diagnostics, healthcare, medical device, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated industries\nExperience supporting or analyzing cost of goods sold (COGS), gross margin, inventory, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or laboratory operations\nExperience with financial planning and reporting platforms such as Planful, Adaptive Planning, Pigment, Prophix, or similar solutions\nExperience with Power BI, SQL, or other business intelligence tools\nCPA or MBA\nStrong business acumen and intellectual curiosity\nExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills\nAbility to build strong working relationships across functions\nComfortable working with large datasets and translating results into actionable business insights\nSelf-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment\nContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, automation, and process enhancements\nPay Range: $100,000-135,000, depending on experience level\nBenefits: We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support the health, financial well-being, and work-life balance of our employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance;
