The ideal candidate will have strong Azure expertise, hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine enterprise data architecture, technology strategy, standards, and roadmap.\n\nDesign scalable Azure-based Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse solutions.\n\nLead data modernization and migration initiatives from on-premise to Azure.\n\nDesign data integration, ingestion, transformation, and processing architectures.\n\nProvide technical leadership across Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, and Microsoft Fabric.\n\nDefine data modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipeline, and integration patterns.\n\nEstablish data governance, security, quality, metadata, and lineage frameworks.\n\nEvaluate architecture options for scalability, performance, reliability, and cost optimization.\n\nCollaborate with data engineers, analysts, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.\n\nReview technical designs, provide architectural guidance, and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.\n\nIdentify technical risks and dependencies and recommend appropriate architecture and mitigation strategies.\n\nRequirements\nRequired Skills\nProven experience as a Data Architect / Azure Data Architect.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.\n\nExpertise in Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and SQL.\n\nStrong knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, and Data Modeling.\n\nExperience with Python, PySpark/Spark, and large-scale data processing.\n\nStrong understanding of data integration, APIs, batch and real-time data pipelines.\n\nExperience with data governance, security, quality, metadata, and lineage.\n\nStrong architecture, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Purview, Power BI, Kafka, or Event Hubs.\n\nExperience with cloud migration and legacy data modernization.\n\nKnowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment.\n\nExperience in Insurance or Financial Services.\n\nRelevant Azure Data Architect/Data Engineering certifications.\n\nBenefits\nExavalu also promotes flexibility, adapting to the needs of employees, customers, and the business.
