The candidate will be responsible for analyzing the existing manual test scripts maintained in OpenText Octane and converting them into robust, reusable, and maintainable Playwright automation scripts, which is built using Angular.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong functional testing knowledge, experience automating customized enterprise applications, and the ability to identify automation opportunities and build scalable test automation solutions. Exposure to Salesforce applications and workflows will be an added advantage.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze existing test cases and test scripts maintained in OpenText Octane to understand business workflows and application functionality.\nDevelop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.\nConvert existing manual test cases into reliable, reusable, and maintainable automation scripts.\nIdentify suitable test scenarios for automation and prioritize them based on business criticality and regression coverage.\nDevelop reusable automation components, page objects, utilities, test data management, and common functions.\nPerform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing as required.\nValidate UI elements, application workflows, forms, tables, dynamic content, and end-to-end business scenarios.\nTroubleshoot automation failures, analyze test results, and collaborate with development and business teams to resolve defects.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support scheduled or continuous regression execution.\nMaintain appropriate test documentation, execution reports, defect details, and automation coverage metrics.\nCollaborate with the QA team, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\n5-8 years of overall experience in software quality assurance and testing.\nStrong hands-on experience in Playwright automation using TypeScript or JavaScript.\nExperience in automating web-based applications, preferably built using Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.\nStrong understanding of automation framework design, Page Object Model (POM), reusable components, and automation best practices.\nExperience converting manual test cases into automated scripts.\nExperience with functional testing, regression testing, test design, test execution, and defect management.\nFamiliarity with browser developer tools, DOM inspection, locators, waits, assertions, and handling dynamic web elements.\nExperience with Git or similar version control systems.\nGood analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nGood to Have\nExperience with OpenText Octane for test case management and test execution tracking.\nExposure to Salesforce applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or customized Salesforce implementations.\nExperience testing customized enterprise applications with complex business workflows.\nFamiliarity with REST API testing and tools such as Postman.\nExperience integrating Playwright automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.\nKnowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with distributed teams.\nBenefits\nDiversity Inclusion:\nAt Exavalu, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
