is a remote position.\nJob Summary\nWe are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in software testing, preferably with strong experience in the Insurance domain, Guidewire applications, and test automation.\nThe candidate will be responsible for designing and executing functional and automated tests for Guidewire-based insurance applications, supporting end-to-end testing, regression automation, API/database validation, and ensuring quality across the application lifecycle.\nThe ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or related Guidewire products, along with strong automation skills using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, REST Assured, or equivalent.\nKey Responsibilities\nUnderstand insurance business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.\nPerform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing of Guidewire applications.\nWork extensively with Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts for Guidewire applications.\nDesign and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.\nAutomate UI, API, and database validation wherever applicable.\nExecute automated regression suites and analyze automation failures.\nPerform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.\nPerform database validation using SQL queries.\nValidate integrations between Guidewire and external systems.\nParticipate in test planning, estimation, execution, defect management, and reporting.\nAnalyze requirements and identify test scenarios, test data, and automation opportunities.\nParticipate in defect triage with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.\nInvestigate automation failures and distinguish between application, environment, data, and automation issues.\nContribute to continuous improvement of the QA automation framework and testing processes.\nSupport CI/CD-based automated test execution where applicable.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.\nCollaborate with onsite/offshore teams and business stakeholders.\nMandatory Skills\nInsurance Domain\n5-8 years of overall QA/testing experience.\nGood understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance concepts.\nUnderstanding of insurance processes such as:\nQuote\nPolicy issuance\nPolicy change\nRenewal\nCancellation\nReinstatement\nEndorsement\nClaims\nBilling\nPayments\nExposure to insurance product lines such as Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Auto, Homeowners, Workers' Compensation, etc. is preferred.\nGuidewire\nHands-on experience with one or more Guidewire products:\nPolicyCenter\nClaimCenter\nBillingCenter\nGood understanding of Guidewire business workflows and application architecture.\nExperience testing Guidewire configuration/customization changes.\nExperience with Guidewire integration testing.\nAbility to understand Guidewire business rules and workflows and translate them into test scenarios.\nExposure to Guidewire web services/APIs is preferred.\nGuidewire certification is a plus.\nAutomation\nStrong hands-on automation experience using one or more of:\nJava\nSelenium WebDriver\nTestNG / JUnit\nCucumber / BDD\nREST Assured\nPostman\nMaven/Gradle\nGit\nThe candidate should have experience in developing and maintaining automation scripts, not just executing existing scripts.\nAPI & Database Testing\nStrong understanding of REST API testing.\nExperience with tools such as Postman and REST Assured.\nAbility to validate:\nRequest/response\nHTTP status codes\nJSON/XML payloads\nHeaders\nAuthentication\nError handling\nBusiness rules\nGood SQL knowledge for backend/database validation.\nExperience validating data flow between Guidewire and external systems.\nAutomation Framework Experience\nThe candidate should have experience with:\nPage Object Model / reusable automation components.\nData-driven testing.\nParameterization.\nTestNG/JUnit.\nBDD/Cucumber, where applicable.\nConfiguration management.\nTest data management.\nLogging and reporting.\nParallel execution.\nCI/CD
