Together, we work to expand access to reliable energy for communities around the world.\nJOB SUMMARY: The Senior Engineer helps support Excelerate’s current and future global projects as part of the infrastructure team. The Senior Engineer will work closely with other individuals in the Infrastructure, Operations, and Commercial teams. This position will support the development and implementation of new projects and support the engineering needs of Company’s existing assets.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities:\nEnsure safety is paramount in all aspects of work. planning/execution and the Excelerate Core Values are applied to daily routines.\n\nAbility to manage infrastructure projects with the following expectations:\nExperienced in gas transmission, pipeline (onshore and offshore) design, and LNG loading terminal infrastructure design.\n\nFamiliarity with Stage Gate Project Development Processes.\n\nStrong Front End design experience from feasibility to FEED stages. Working within the project team on onshore/offshore feasibility, conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, and EPC phase of the project.\n\nPreparation of technical scopes of work for site investigation programs such as design of pipelines, mooring terminals.\n\nPreparation of technical scopes of work for Pre-feasibility and feasibility studies such as high level conceptual designs, cost estimates, schedule, and risks for the purpose of screening, concept selection and definition and detailed designs including onshore pipelines, offshore gas export systems and terminals.\n\nBe able to perform project management duties, including management of external contractors and vendors, while working with internal resources to define project scope, schedule, and budget.\n\nProvide analysis, reports, and review of contractual requirements regarding project controls and its scheduling.\n\nEffectively oversee and perform detailed review of relevant submittals by Company’s consultants. Ensure that all deliverables have been prepared to the full requirements of relevant agreements.\n\nEnsure designs and analyses are performed in compliance with the established latest design rules and standards.\n\nOverall responsibility for the scheduling and monitoring the quality of the work procedure for subcontracted work.\n\nProvides support to or directly overseas fabrications, fit test, and / or system integration testing of installation aids and construction /equipment.\n\nEffectively manage interfaces between internal and external parties to ensure full alignment and a detailed and complete understanding of all projects needs and requirements.\n\nSupport Permitting team in development of necessary environmental and permitting documentations.\n\nParticipate in activities pertinent to project risk analysis, evaluation, remediation, and integration of data.\n\nEnsuring the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil, Ocean Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in design, project engineering, and construction in marine or offshore industries.\n\nMust have exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite, and use of scheduling programs such as MS Project or Primavera.\n\nHands-on experience using AutoCAD and other engineering design software for developing and reviewing technical drawings, layouts, and schematics, including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and related engineering documentation.\n\nAbility to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.\n\nProven strengths in diverse and multi-cultural environments. Must have the ability to adapt, to establish and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.\n\nCompletes assigned work within the allocated schedule and budget while maintaining company quality and safety standards\n\nStrong planning, organizational and time management skills.\n\nFluency in Arabic language (written and spoken) preferred.\n\nPrevious LNG and or FSRU project experience preferred.\n\nTRAVEL: Up to 20%\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
