At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.\nThe Opportunity\nThe Global Business Unit Controller is a key finance partner responsible for supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management for a global, multi-site business unit.\nThis role provides end-to-end visibility into Business Unit financial performance, including orders, revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and EBITDA. The Controller drives forecasting accuracy, delivers actionable insights, and supports disciplined financial execution across the business, while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nBusiness Partnership & Financial Support\nPartner with Business Unit leadership to support financial performance and operational decision-making\nWork cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Engineering, and other functions to gather business insights and formulate accurate and actionable forecasts\nProvide insights on orders, sales, pricing, gross margin, and cost drivers across regions and product lines\nSupport execution of business strategies through financial analysis and performance tracking\nP&L Planning & Forecasting\nSupport full Business Unit P&L, including orders, revenue, gross margin, OPEX, and EBITDA\nLead development and consolidation of annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks\nForecast key financial metrics including bookings, shipments, revenue, cost of goods sold, and operating expenses\nMonitor performance versus plan and forecast, providing clear variance analysis and identifying key drivers\nHighlight risks and opportunities and support mitigation planning\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis\nDeliver timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting\nPrepare P&L bridges, variance analysis (actual vs. plan vs. forecast), and KPI reporting\nSupport business reviews with clear financial narratives and insights\nContinuously improve reporting quality, transparency, and forecast accuracy\nOperational Finance\nPartner with Operations and Supply Chain to analyze cost performance and gross margin drivers\nSupport cost control initiatives, productivity improvements, and margin expansion efforts\nAnalyze manufacturing variances and operational performance across global sites\nSupport capital expenditure tracking and ROI analysis\nCompliance & Financial Controls\nEnsure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and corporate financial policies\nSupport monthly and quarterly close processes and ensure accuracy of reported financials\nAssist with account reconciliations and financial data integrity\nSupport internal and external audits\nSystems & Process Coordination\nWork across multiple ERP systems to consolidate financial results and forecasts across global sites\nManage and reconcile data across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency\nDrive standardization and improvement of financial planning and reporting processes\nSupport system enhancements and automation initiatives\nRequirements and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required\nMBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred\nAt least 7 years of progressive finance experience\nExperience in photonics, semiconductor, life sciences, or industrial sectors preferred\nStrong financial acumen with understanding of P&L management and forecasting\nExperience supporting full P&L (orders, revenue, gross margin, OPEX, EBITDA)\nStrong forecasting, planning, and analytical capabilities\nExperience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed organization\nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate financial results into business insights\nExperience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and multiple data sources\nHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities\nAbility to work independently in an individual contributor role\nWillingness to travel (~15-20%)\nKey Skills\nSAP or equivalent ERP systems\nAdvanced Excel and financial modeling\nExperience with forecasting and planning tools\nBI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred\nPlease note:\nThis position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)\nVisa sponsorship is not available for this position\nEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer\nMinorities/Females/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation\nExcelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team!
