At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.\nOur facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities.\nThis site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in the areas of medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense, and aerospace, as well as research and development.\nWe are presently seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer that will be developing maintenance excellence, ensuring production equipment reliability, and providing day-to-day technical support for production equipment.\nMain responsibilities:\nProvide technical expertise to maintain and improve equipment uptime and reliability.\nDevelop strategic maintenance plans and lead initiatives to achieve factory equipment reliability targets.\nEnsure maintenance systems and standard operating procedures are consistently followed by all team members.\nApply TPM tools and methodologies to drive progress through the Planned Maintenance Pillar.\nOversee the timely and cost-effective execution of major capital investment projects in line with the annual operating plan (AOP) and capital expenditure budget.\nOwn and manage maintenance KPIs, including equipment availability, reliability, and downtime performance.\nDevelop and enhance the technical competencies of the maintenance team through training and coaching.\nMaintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables to support uninterrupted maintenance operations.\nMonitor and control repair and maintenance costs to ensure alignment with budgetary objectives.\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry best practices to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.\nIdentify and drive improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost control, and maintenance best practices (e.g., Lean, TPM, RCA).\nConduct training for maintenance personnel on new equipment, safety procedures, and best practices.\nRequirements:\nDiploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.\nMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in equipment and maintenance engineering, preferably in an automated manufacturing environment.\nStrong background in equipment and maintenance engineering, with solid knowledge of automation systems.\nHands-on experience in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).\nKnowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a data-driven mindset.\nProven leadership and coaching abilities to guide, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly across all levels of the organization.\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and deliver results in time-sensitive situations.\nEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer\nMinorities/Females/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation\nExcelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team!
