At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.\nWe are seeking a a Production Planner for our Mississauga site. The Production Planner will be responsible for all planning aspects related to production. This includes management of all work orders in support of on time delivery. The Production Planner acts as liaison for the Customer Service team and other internal support groups such as Supply Chain, Quality and Warehouse team to coordinate the timely movement of manufacturing processes and materials.\nMain Responsibilities:\nSchedule incoming sales orders in a timely manner and address order issues with Customer Service\nMonitor forecasts and inventory levels of all products and proactively adjust production plans.\nEstablish and manage the production schedule to ensure the optimal usage of all available resources.\nCreate and maintain up to date Production Work Orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to reflect operational needs as well as production capacity.\nCollaborate with Engineering, R&D, and PM team to release NPI projects.\nCollaborate with the Supply Chain team to always ensure available inventory of raw goods.\nCollaborate with the Manufacturing team to always ensure available capacity of labor/machines.\nNotify the Customer Service team of any impact that changes in deliveries may generate, to avoid or reduce disruptions in the level of service.\nMaintain and update the scheduling parameters in the ERP system, such as manufacturing lead time, production batch sizes, etc.\nCoordinate the scheduling and releasing work orders to ensure smooth release material from the warehouse to production.\nConduct weekly/monthly work order accounting close.\nConduct monthly capacity planning.\nAnalyze planning impacts due to engineering changes and develop plans to minimize effect on production.\nParticipate in improvement projects related to the relevant responsibilities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of experience as a Production Planner\nCollege or university degree in operations management, supply chain management, or related field\nAPICS (CPIM) Certification is considered an asset\nStrong knowledge of forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling principles.\n\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing and documentation.\n\nHighly organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently.\n\nExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\n\nProven ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and perform effectively under pressure.\n\nAbility to work collaboratively within a diverse and cross-functional team environment.\n\nExperience working in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and/or FDA QSR-compliant environments is considered an asset.\n\nEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer\nMinorities/Females/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation\nExcelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team!
