At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.\nWe are currently seeking a Senior Metrology Engineer who will manage the transfer, tools, and processes from development engineering, including IQ/OQ/PQ qualifications, gage studies, statistical process control, reliability, and process documentation.\nMain Responsibilities:\nServes as a technical subject matter expert for optical metrology, with specific expertise in areas such as surface metrology, spectrophotometry, and laser measurement.\nSupports the transfer of metrology tools and processes from development to production.\nSupport continuous improvement of metrology, process controls, reliability, and up time.\nCreates and improves documentation for the measurement and quality control of optical components.\nTrains technicians on the use of tools and processes for optical metrology.\nConducts tool and process verification studies using Gauge R&R and similar techniques.\nSupports troubleshooting of existing optical metrology equipment and processes.\nOther tasks as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, or related field (Chemistry, EE, etc.). Advanced degree desirable.\n10 years experience with optical metrology desirable.\nProficiency with equipment or metrology automation programming (e.g. LabView, Python).\nProficiency with Gauge R&R desirable.\nProficiency with Statistical Process Control desirable.\nExperience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, etc) desirable\nBenefits start day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Holiday Pay, PAID Maternity/Paternity leave, Tuition Reimbursement, Long-term and Short-term disability.\nPay Range: $105,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on experience.\nExcelitas is a global technology leader with more than 7,500 employees, focused on delivering market-driven solutions to fulfill the illumination, optical, detection and imaging needs of OEMs and end-users across the biomedical, semiconductor, industrial, consumer products, scientific, security, defense and aerospace sectors.\nOur facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines.
