At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.\nX\nWe are seeking an Assembly Technician to join the Process group. You will be responsible for supporting assembly processes (automated and manual assembly, epoxy dispensing, wire bonding, sealing, marking, etc.) and contributing to the efficient operation of our production lines. You will also participate in the development, optimization, and control of assembly processes, while leading continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing the quality, efficiency, and reliability of operations.\nYour responsibilities:\nComply with and promote workplace health and safety measures;\nProvide technical support for the assembly processes of optoelectronic devices (automatic and manual mounting, epoxy dispensing, wire bonding, sealing, marking, etc.);\nQualify equipment for production after preventive maintenance or repair work\nActively participate in troubleshooting process-related issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions;\nContribute to continuous improvement by applying and promoting the Six Sigma methodology in all activities;\nDevelop, maintain and optimize automated process control mechanisms;\nParticipate in the development, qualification and transfer of processes to production;\nDesign, plan and carry out experimental studies to improve or develop manufacturing processes;\nCommunicate results through reports, presentations, and team discussions;\nEstablish and meet project timelines;\nTrain and support production personnel;\nComply with the documentation system, change-management process, quality policy, and new product introduction process;\nParticipate in the selection, acquisition, and qualification of new equipment;\nMaintain a clean, organized and compliant work environment (including cleanroom standards);\nPerform other related tasks, as needed.\nYour qualifications:\nCollege diploma (DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics Technology, Industrial Automation Technology, or an equivalent field);\nAt least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or providing support for production processes\nKnowledge of optoelectronic device fabrication processes, an asset;\nKnowledge of Six Sigma methodology and of statistical process control (green belt certification, an asset);\nKnowledge of 3D CAD softwares (Solidworks, Catia, etc.);\nStrong organizational skills, rigor and ability to work effectively in a team environment;\nProficiency in French (spoken and written) to operate in a francophone work environment;\nExcellent skills in English (spoken and written) for technical and international communications.\nX\nOur hiring criteria meets the requirements of the OLF.\nAll applicants must comply with the CGP (Controlled Goods Program).\nEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer\nMinorities/Females/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation\nExcelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team!
