Our unique technology enables the highest system performance in the most compact and cost-effective formats in a variety of applications.\nWe are presently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor that will supervise the implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. The right candidate for this role will plan and administer procedures within the production department. The Production Supervisor will develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas as well as selects, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation.\nYour responsibilities:\nAdministrative\nEnsure all procedures utilized in manufacturing are current and up to date;\nTrack employee attendance records on a daily basis;\nPresent new documents and train employees as required;\nCommunicate vital information and company communications;\nWrite and deliver employee performance reviews.\nLogistical Responsibilities\nTrack inventory accuracy of WIP and components;\nEnsure the right products are produced per current production plan;\nCommunicate production issues to planning and management;\nCommunicates any component issues to purchasing when necessary;\nTrack all production activity in company ERP system;\nEnsure objectives relating to product costs, product quality and product availability are met.\nGMP/Safety/Documentation\nEnsure a safe work environment is maintained at all times;\nCommunicate effectively with management and other support teams;\nEnsure Manufacturing guidelines are followed at all times;\nCommunicates process improvement suggestions to engineering and management;\nGeneral Duties\nMakes recommendations regarding staffing;\nMaintains real time production output metrics;\nProperly balances staffing per production area;\nManages WIP inventories as well as labor efficiencies;\nCoordinate Group leader activities and cross departmental activities. \nYour requirements:\nEDUCATION: \nBS degree or equivalent years’ experience\nKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: \nMinimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, 5 of which have supervisor/lead responsibilities;\nProven experience in leading others with a proactive attitude;\nKnowledge of computer applications (i.e.: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Visio, etc.) required;\nKnowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment;\nStrong manufacturing background with evidence of process evaluation knowledge is a plus.\nADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: \nAPICS Certified;\nLean and 5s training.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES: \nMicrosoft Office skills;\nAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties;\nStrong attention to details;\nAbility to maintain confidentiality;\nAbility to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes;\nAbility to maintain updated knowledge of procedures, products and activities of assigned area;\nAbility to adhere/respond to established time frames and schedules;\nAbility to operate a personal computer and related software;\nAbility to work under pressure;\nAbility to coordinate the work of others.\nPROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING: \nDevelops solutions to a variety of problems; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: \nAbility to hear and speak to employees and outside business associates on the phone and in person;\nRequires moderate right and left hand coordination for the use of the personal computer;\nAbility to lift 25+ lbs.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: \nSupervises nonexempt staff; makes hire, termination and promotion recommendation to manager.\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: \nMay require travel to vendor site.\nThis position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) \nVisa sponsorship is not available for any position at Excelitas \nMust be US Citizen\nEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer\nMinorities/Females/Disability/Veteran/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation\nRelocation not associated with this position\nSalary: $86,000 to $121,000.
