Our unique technology enables the highest system performance in the most compact and cost-effective formats in a variety of applications.\nWe are currently looking for both 1st and 2nd Shift Assembly Technician IV's. The position assists manufacturing to meet its continuous improvement goals such product cost reduction, improve overall product quality, reduce product cycle times and process validations. The individual in this position shall work with Manufacturing/Process engineers. Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssembling/Packaging products \nFilling out paperwork for related assemblies and production activity \nCommunicating discrepancies or potential issues as needed \nAs necessary, performs other duties as required \nStrong understanding of measuring devices, prints and quality control documents, specifications and requirements. \nStrong operation of mechanical, electrical and optical tools and equipment for quality inspection. \nMay assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. \nEnsures high quality standards associated with assembly production to manufacture superior medical product assemblies. \nWork from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. \nUses programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. \nPerform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, or manufacturing process - basic trouble-shooting. Assist in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. \nStrong understanding of reports, procedures - keeps excellent records and documentation of activities.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nAn Associates Degree\n10+ years' experience in a related field is required (4+ years at Excelitas a plus)\nAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations \nAdvanced equipment, assembly, and soldering skills are necessary \nBroadly cross trained \nMicroscope Experience\nAbility to follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice) using Standard Operating Procedures \nMaintains records and clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements \nUse various measurement devices to record data and produce assemblies to written specifications \nMaintain inventory accuracy by performing daily counts in area of responsibility \nManual dexterity, eye hand coordination, and visual acuity \nAbility to read, write and understand English \nAbility to perform repetitive work while paying attention to detail \nMaintain product traceability and identification \nIdentify and segregate Non-Conforming Product \nAbility to train other/new associates \nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers \nTroubleshooting Skills: Supports high level tech or engineer on troubleshooting equipment. \nHardware Knowledge: Knows how to use DVM, temp meter. Is familiar with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, power supply's \nMay act as a Lead to lower-level operator positions \nAble to work closely with other people. \nDetail oriented. \nMachine Repair: Supports high level tech or engineer on repair of equipment. \nPreventative Maintenance: Can perform basic machine maintenance. \nSoldering Skills: Can perform basic soldering jobs. \nMechanical Skills: Is familiar with mechanical drawings.
