At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.\nThis role supports the Manufacturing Manager in coordinating production activities and directly supervises a manufacturing team. The position ensures production schedules and customer commitments are met by effectively managing resources, resolving technical issues, and maintaining clear communication across teams.\nResponsbilities:\nProduction and Operations Support\nAssist Manufacturing Manager with scheduling and prioritizing daily/weekly/monthly production plans\nWork with Manufacturing Manager and Planner to organize human and material resources to meet shipment requirements\nParticipate in production meetings and maintain focus on backlog, service, and customer deadlines\nPerform various production control planning responsibilities as required to support operational objectives\nAct on Manufacturer Manager’s behalf in their absence\nPeople Leadership & Development\nProvide ongoing feedback to Manufacturing Manager on team performance; write and deliver performance reviews for direct reports\nTrain team members in specific tasks, including product knowledge, processes, and quality requirements\nWork with management to address employee relations issues, including coaching and counseling employees whose performance or conduct does not meet company expectations\nLead by example and consistently uphold company values, policies, procedures, and workplace standards\nCommunication & Continuous Improvement\nCommunicate daily with management and cross-functional teams regarding production status, quality concerns, risks and operational issues\nResolve employee relations issues and counsel employees if their work or attitude does not meet company expectations\nRun and participate in tiered accountability meetings. Take ownership and accountability for assigned work areas, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency\nCollaborate with technical staff on process improvements, new process development, and implementation initiatives\nRequirements:\n3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably electronics manufacturing) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position\nCollege or university degree in operations management or related field\nWorking experience with an MRP system; including elements of production planning, scheduling, inventory management and work orders creation\nComputer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products\nExperience in manufacturing, production management, production planning, or supporting manufacturing production planning process.\nLean CI / Six Sigma experience an asset (Green, Yellow belt certifications)\nKnowledge of planning, scheduling and forecasting principles\nExperience in leading a team and conflict resolution\nTeam player who is also capable of working independently and unsupervised\nExcellent English verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work in a diverse workforce\nAbility to work in fast changing environment\nAbility to work under pressure\nEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer\nMinorities/Females/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation\nExcelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team!
