Assignments are determined based on need; shifts may include day, evening and/or overnight hours, with some including weekend coverage.\nNOTE: Incumbent will be notified 3 days ahead of any shift assignment adjustment.\nEssential Accountabilities:\nAll Levels\nSpecific work activities are assigned daily based on work volumes and department needs.\nObserves safety and housekeeping standards in work area. Maintains appropriate files, records, and equipment manuals.\nInforms supervisor of equipment issues.\nConsistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.\nMaintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.\nRegular and reliable attendance is expected and required.\nPerforms other functions as assigned by management.\nLevel I\nIn accordance with established procedures, this position operates production printers and finishing equipment and maintains the production print equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications. Performs routine equipment maintenance such as adding toner and lubricant; contacts service to report any problems, or to seek information.\nReviews job requests and prints on a timely basis; includes use of continuous feed and cutsheet devices; does not include wide format. Monitors the quality and completeness of jobs. Checks print quality and accuracy on a regular basis. Packages jobs, completes work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts as necessary and places in assigned areas.\nPerforms all basic bindery functions as noted on work order/job tickets. This may include folding, cutting, padding, punching, spiral or coil binding, collating, scoring, perforating, drilling, stitching or stapling, and laminating.\nOperates several of the following pieces of equipment; hydraulic drill, power cutter, three-knife trimmer, stitcher/folder/collator, folder, die press, etc.\nEquipment and Supplies:\nCleans and maintains equipment and work area following maintenance procedures and updates maintenance logs.\nMonitors and manages inventory of print-related supplies such as paper, toner, developer, bindery and other machine-related supplies; orders and stocks as instructed by supervisor.\nPerforms basic tasks associated with floor copier maintenance, e.g., replace toner, deliver paper.\nLevel II (in addition to Level I Accountabilities)\nServes as a subject matter expert on all production print equipment, including continuous feed presses with pre/post equipment, near-line finishing, cut-sheet printers, MICR printers, and wide format printer. Capable of performing all aspects of equipment operation from basic through advanced.\nServes as a subject matter expert on all production print software tools including Ricoh Process Director (RPD), Rochester Software Associates (RSA) Q-Direct, RSA WebCRD and Avanti Slingshot.\nServes as a subject matter expert in bindery, including envelope printers, slit/cut/crease equipment, production cutter, high-speed folder, hydraulic drill and book binder. Highly skilled at equipment set up for basic and complex jobs, troubleshoots equipment issues on all bindery equipment, processes handwork assembly according to specifications as well as packages jobs; completes work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts as necessary and places in their assigned areas.\nPerforms advanced tasks associated with floor copier maintenance, e.g., troubleshooting, jams.\nAids other departments when a machine is inoperable (may do hand stuffing, fill supply orders, etc.)\nMinimum Qualifications:\nNOTE: We include multiple levels of classification differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making, and in some cases, becoming a resource to others.
