They are seeking an experienced External Auditor to join their team and assist with conducting client audits, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance and adherence to applicable auditing standards.\nAbout the Role\nThe External Auditor will be responsible for supporting and conducting external audit engagements for the firm's clients. This role requires a strong understanding of auditing principles, financial reporting, internal controls and audit procedures, together with the ability to analyse financial information, identify discrepancies and prepare comprehensive audit documentation.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with the firm's US-based team.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct external audits for a portfolio of clients across various industries.\nPlan and execute audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing standards.\nExamine financial statements, accounting records, supporting documentation and transactions.\nTest internal controls and assess financial reporting processes.\nPerform substantive testing, reconciliations and analytical reviews.\nIdentify financial discrepancies, risks, irregularities and potential areas of non-compliance.\nGather and evaluate audit evidence to support audit findings and conclusions.\nPrepare and maintain detailed audit working papers and supporting documentation.\nAssist with the preparation of audit reports and communicate findings to senior team members.\nLiaise with clients to request documentation, clarify financial information and resolve audit queries.\nEnsure audit engagements are completed accurately and within established deadlines.\nMaintain knowledge of relevant accounting principles, auditing standards and regulatory requirements.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing or a related field.\nProfessional accounting or auditing qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) would be advantageous.\nMinimum 3-5 years of relevant external audit experience.\nStrong understanding of US GAAP and US auditing standards (GAAS).\nExperience conducting financial statement audits and working with multiple client engagements.\nKnowledge of internal controls, audit testing and financial reporting.\nStrong financial analysis and reconciliation skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/audit software.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.\nComfortable working remotely and aligning with US business hours.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate will have a solid background in public accounting or an external audit firm, with practical experience conducting end-to-end financial statement audits for external clients.
