We're building security from the core out.\nJob overview:\nWe are looking for a RoboticsIntegration Engineer to help establish our roboticslab and turn software, algorithms, and capabilities developed by our research and engineering teams into working applications on real robots.\nThis is a hands-on role spanning platform configuration, hardware and software integration, deployment, testing, and demo preparation. You will work closely with developers to make roboticsystems reliable and demonstrations repeatable, helping define the lab’s tools and workflows from day one.\nWhat you’ll do:\n\nSet up and operate the roboticslab, contributing to the selection and configuration of robots, sensors, compute platforms, networking, and test equipment.\nIntegrate hardware and software, connecting sensors, actuators, and application components and validating end-to-end system behavior.\nDeploy new capabilities onto physical robots, integrating components, algorithms, and models developed by internal teams or third parties.\nBuild demonstration applications, writing scripts, integration code, and targeted software adaptations to deliver complete use cases.\nPrepare robotsfor internal and external demos, ensuring reliable, repeatable behavior and clear startup and recovery procedures.\nTest and validate on real hardware, evaluating new releases, performance, and robotbehavior across different scenarios.\nDebug system-level issues, analyzing logs and tracing problems across software, hardware, connectivity, and configuration in collaboration with development teams.\nKeep the lab and demo platforms ready to use, documenting configurations, dependencies, deployment procedures, and test results.\nWhat we’re looking for:\n\nHands-on experience integrating robotic, embedded, or mechatronic systems.\nSolid knowledge of Linux, shell tools, and networking.\nFamiliarity with ROS/ROS 2, including configuring and debugging roboticapplications.\nAbility to use Python for scripting and automation and to read and adapt Rust and C code.\nExperience with Git, build tools, dependency management, and deployment to physical devices.\nUnderstanding of how sensors, actuators, compute platforms, and application software interact.\nA methodical approach to troubleshooting and the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.\nAbility to organize day-to-day lab activities independently and maintain clear technical documentation.\nGood written and spoken technical English.\nNice to have:\n\nExperience with mobile robots, manipulators, quadrupeds, or other roboticplatforms.\nFamiliarity with Docker, test automation, and deployment pipelines.\nExperience deploying AI models or perception systems onto embedded hardware.\nKnowledge of roboticssimulation tools such as Gazebo or Isaac Sim.\nExperience with sensor calibration and measurement equipment.\nExperience preparing proofs of concept, reference platforms, or demonstrations for customers, partners, and events.\nSalary range: €80K-€100K\nLocation: Rome, Hybrid (3 days a week) \nExein is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
