About us
The physical and digital worlds are merging. Vehicles, medical devices, industrial systems, critical infrastructure: security hasn't kept pace. AI is accelerating everything, from the capabilities of the systems we depend on to the sophistication of the threats targeting them. A software vulnerability can now have physical consequences. A physical breach can compromise entire digital ecosystems. Billions of devices operate with little to no protection, and traditional approaches can't keep up. Not at this scale, not at this speed, and not across this diversity of systems.
Exein exists to solve this. We build the security layer for a world where physical and digital threats are no longer separate problems, from kernel-level runtime protection on embedded devices to cloud-native platforms that analyze, protect, and prove compliance across entire device fleets. We're not patching the old model. We're building security from the core out.
The role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Exein platform and its core product tracks - Analyzer and Runtime - setting new benchmarks in embedded and device security.
This is a role for someone who thrives in deeply technical B2B environments and has a strong appreciation for developer and security-engineer experience. You'll be responsible for ensuring the platform not only delivers world-class security coverage, but also feels intuitive and efficient for the engineers who build, ship, and operate connected devices, from firmware teams to SOC analysts.
What you'll do
- Lead the ongoing enhancement of the Exein platform (Analyzer and Runtime), setting new standards for quality and user experience in device security.
- Act as the voice of the customer - firmware engineers, security teams, and compliance owners - ensuring their feedback and needs directly shape product decisions.
- Define and deliver product strategy for key tracks such as CVE detection and remediation, SBOM and compliance workflows (e.g. CRA readiness), and fleet-wide runtime protection, aligned with company goals and market demands.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security research, AI, and go-to-market teams to deliver features on time and at high quality.
- Continuously refine user journeys across the platform - from firmware upload to incident triage - to make Exein intuitive for both individual engineers and enterprise fleets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, track adoption and retention, and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, ideally with B2B SaaS platforms or technical products where user experience drives adoption and retention.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, embedded/Linux systems concepts, and data-driven decision making.
- A cybersecurity OR embedded product background is highly desirable
- Hands-on approach: proven ability to work directly with engineers to define scope, solve problems, and deliver on time.
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and shipping high-quality features.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging both deeply technical teams and senior management.
- Fluent in English. The role requires equally interfacing with an international team and Italy-based team.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), RED 3.3, or IEC 62443.
- Understanding of firmware build systems (Yocto, Buildroot), containers, or kernel-level technologies such as eBPF.
- Experience applying AI capabilities within product workflows.
Location
Rome, Hybrid - Piazzale Flaminio 19, 00196
Salary range: €60K/70K
The first interview will be held in English
