This role will be a key point of contact for Legal, HR, Finance and Facilities sourcing services, equipment and goods, and IT sourcing services, products, digital transformation initiatives, and ongoing technology landscape, and Commercial outsourcing services in market research and planning, media and marketing, market access, payer strategy, or HEOR.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES\nEngage Business StakeholdersStrengthens strategic partnerships and identifies sourcing or outsourcing opportunities.\nAdvises business stakeholders and supports governance models.\nLeads stakeholder training on SS&P systems, policies, and processes.\nFacilitates business stakeholder review meetings and influence adoption of sourcing strategies through consistent support and collaboration.\n\nManage SpendConduct sourcing or outsourcing initiatives for high-impact spend areas.\nLeverage market intelligence for strategic sourcing or outsourcing decisions.\nDrive cost savings and value creation through negotiations.\nManages end-to-end SOW development and contract execution for high-impact agreements.\nPartner with Procurement Analytics team on spend management.\nCollaborate with FP&A for forecasting, budgeting, and accruals.\nManage vendor performance and cost-to-deliverables alignment.\nImplement supplier segmentation and performance frameworks.\n\nOptimize Supplier PartnershipsDevelops strategic supplier segmentation and performance programs.\nPartnering with business stakeholders, optimizes vendor governance and ensures alignment with sourcing and category strategy.\nDevelops supplier collaboration plans and supports cross-functional engagement.\nAddresses escalation issues and coach lower level team members on approaches for resolution.\n\nManage Supply RiskProactively identifies enterprise-level supply chain risks.\nDevelops comprehensive risk mitigation strategies, including supplier diversification and business continuity plans.\nProvide support to cross-functional teams to reduce risk. Report on risk exposure to leadership.\nSupport compliance to corporate vendor ESG requirements.\nAs applicable per designated category, maintain audit inspection readiness.\n\nFunctional ResponsibilitiesProactively review training to ensure current content.\nServe as advisor/mentor/coach to others in team\nExecute to SS&P business processes and policies.\nMay lead SS&P or cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.\nSeen as an expert to support junior level employees in resolving challenging issues.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nComplies with all policies and standards\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nNo supervisory responsibilities.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES\nEducation\nMaster's degree and 7 years of related experience; or\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 9 years of related experience; or\nAssociate degree and 11 years of experience; or\nEquivalent combination of education and years of experience\n Experience\nExperience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry(ies) required.\nExperience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology R&D outsourcing, purchasing, supplier relationship management and/or procurement role(s) required.\nFamiliarity with Agiloft, Ariba, SAP, Tableau or equivalent applications desired.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nRequired:\nAdvance understanding of drug discovery and development.\nAdvance knowledge of applicable financial (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act, GAAP), category specific compliance regulations (e.g. GXP, ICH, GDPR), and legal terms and conditions (e.g., legal decisions vs. business decisions)\nAdvance knowledge of RFI/RFP methodologies and contracting standards (e.g., scopes of work, budgets, payment schedules, exhibits, quality agreements, data privacy addendums). Demonstrate success in contract negotiations.\nIntermediate knowledge of financial and operational processes including, but not limited to budgeting, accruals, forecasting, financial analyses, financial reporting, capital expenditures, invoicing, payment terms, purchase requisitions/purchase orders, importation/exportation fees, taxes, currency exchange rates, and inflation.\nAdvanced skills in MS Office suite of applications\nAdvance analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges in a collaborative environment.\nAdvance understanding of procurement functions to actively contribute to process improvements.\nAdvanced demonstration of integrity, ownership, and a results-driven mindset.\nMust have strong ability to focus on details and provide high-quality deliverables.\nDemonstrate advance ability to communicate with clarity, professionalism, and influence.\nAdvanced ability to balance teamwork with independent initiative.\nAdvanced skills in customer service and prioritization in dynamic environments.\nIntermediate to advanced skills to cultivate productive partnerships across stakeholders and vendors.\nPreferred:\nExperience with Ariba, Agiloft or similar contract lifecycle management system, Jira Service Management preferred.\nEnvironmental Requirements:\nPrimarily working indoors in an office environment\nOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $157,500 - $223,500 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location.
