This position will help define and design our cloud platform, which includes cloud automation tools and standards, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling and AWS account provisioning automation. This position will also work with application support teams to re-define the interface between our cloud platform products and application installation and configuration processes.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProduct Strategy & Product Road Map:\nDevelop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.\nUnderstands key business processes and business areas.\nProduct Development & Delivery:\nGuides the successful completion of major initiatives or programs and lead mid to large size complex projects. \nLead end-to-end development processes, from ideation through CI/CD, security scanning, and production monitoring.\nIdentify and implement improvements to overall processes and development procedures.\nDevelops and applies complex and often long-term strategies on specific projects.\nRepresents the department as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.\nExhibits broad knowledge of state-of-the-art engineering principles and theories.\nStakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:\nTranslates overall direction and strategy and communicates across organizational levels and functions.\nWorks on strategic initiatives.\nInteracts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.\nOperational Excellence, Quality & Compliance:\nDocument infrastructure and work instructions for systems and applications, including architecture diagrams, runbooks and code-level commits / READMEs.\nLead and own incident response and root cause analysis for high-impact issues.\nEnsure that completed work delivers long-term value, including the aspects of maintainability, performance and observability.\nMake decisions regarding access, permissions, and security controls across systems.\nSubject Matter Expertise:\nServe as the SME for assigned capabilities, providing technical leadership and guidance.\nMentor and coach junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nNo supervisory responsibilities.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:\nEducation:\nMaster's degree in a relevant field and 7 years of experience; or\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 9 years of related experience; or\nAssociate degree and 11 years of experience; or\nEquivalent combination of education or years of experience\nTechnical certification may be required\nExperience:\nAt least 7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure in a highly available and production environment.\nExperience working in a SOX and FDA regulated environment is a plus.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAdvanced level knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), especially with services related to hosting: EC2, RDS, Systems Manager, IAM, etc.\nAdvanced level knowledge with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.\nIntermediate level knowledge with cloud and infrastructure automation.\nWork Environment/Physical Demands:\nOur office is a modern, open-plan space that fosters collaboration and creativity. The base pay range for this position is $169,500 - $239,500 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
