Server & Cloud Infrastructure Lead

Role Overview :

The candidate should possess strong practical experience in Microsoft Azure, Windows/Linux Server Administration, Virtualization, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Security, Identity & Access Management, and Automation. The role will be responsible for ensuring availability, security, performance, and operational excellence across on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments while supporting modernization and automation initiatives.

Mandatory Skills :

- Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Services

- Hybrid Infrastructure (On-Premises + Azure)

- Windows Server Administration

- Linux Administration (RHEL / Ubuntu)

- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy

- VMware vSphere / Hyper-V / Nutanix AHV

- Enterprise Backup Solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik or equivalent)

- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning

- Identity & Access Management (IAM) Fundamentals

- Infrastructure Security & Server Hardening Fundamentals

- Infrastructure Monitoring & Performance Management

- Automation using Terraform / PowerShell / Python / Ansible

Good to Have :

- Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Arc, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Kubernetes / Containers, Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps)

Primary Responsibilities :

- Azure & Hybrid Infrastructure Management : Manage and support secure, scalable, and highly available Azure and on-premises infrastructure.

- Server Administration : Ensure availability, performance, patching, and lifecycle management of Windows and Linux server environments.

- Virtualization Management : Manage VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualization platforms.

- Backup & Disaster Recovery : Maintain enterprise backup solutions, conduct DR drills, and ensure compliance with RPO/RTO requirements.

- Security & IAM : Implement infrastructure security best practices and hardening standards.

- Incident Management & Troubleshooting : Act as escalation point for critical infrastructure issues.

- Infrastructure Automation : Automate provisioning, configuration, and operational activities.

- Monitoring & Operations : Ensure proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and SLA adherence.

- Project Support : Participate in cloud migration and infrastructure modernization.

- Vendor Management : Coordinate with OEMs and service providers.
