For more information, visit www.exlservice.com.\nRole Title: F&A Service Delivery Manager\nBU/Segment: Diversified Industries\nLocation: Remote - Must be based in the United Kingdom (Occasional travel to client sites and to EXL offices)\nEmployment Type: Permanent\nSummary of the role:\n\nEXL is building a finance and accounting delivery capability in the UK to support a global entertainment and consumer products client.\nYou will own day-to-day delivery of an order-to-cash and revenue accounting managed service, leading a dedicated UK-based delivery team and acting as the client's single operational point of contact. The work spans accounts receivable across both B2B and B2C channels, consignment revenue accounting under ASC 606, and the creation of the process documentation and control framework the client needs as it scales.\nThis is a hands-on delivery leadership role rather than a pure people-management one. In the first six months you will be deep in the detail: running knowledge transfer, writing and reviewing SOPs, and standing up the quality and reporting framework from scratch.\nAs part of your duties, you will be responsible for:\nService delivery and performance\nOwn end-to-end delivery of the in-scope AR, credit and revenue accounting processes against agreed SLAs and KPIs\nRun daily and weekly operating rhythms with the delivery team, tracking volumes, ageing, exceptions and backlog\nProduce and present the monthly performance scorecard, with root cause analysis on any miss and a documented corrective action\nAct as first point of escalation for the client, resolving issues before they reach the governance forum\nOrder to cash (B2B and B2C)\nOversee deduction and chargeback management across major retail and marketplace partners, including validation against contracts, purchase orders, pricing agreements and credit terms\nOversee cash application and payment allocation, unapplied and unidentified cash resolution, and customer account reconciliation\nGovern credit memo and write-off processing within agreed authorisation limits, prioritising high-value and aged items\nSupport collections and dispute resolution to reduce ageing and improve recovery rates\nRevenue and consignment accounting\nOversee the monthly consignment close, including revenue recognition schedules, estimates and journal entries to a fixed day-2 and day-5 calendar\nEnsure recognition treatment is consistent with ASC 606 and with client accounting policy\nReview reconciliations and supporting schedules before client sign-off\nProcess documentation and controls\nOwn the documentation deliverable: keystroke-level SOPs, process maps, RACI and control matrices for every in-scope process\nMaintain documentation as a living asset with version control and a change log\nDocument existing controls and support the client's path toward a lighter-weight internal control framework\nEmbed maker-checker review and manage the quality sampling, audit and calibration cycle\nTransition and onboarding\nLead knowledge transfer from the client team: shadow, reverse shadow, supervised production and independent execution\nManage tollgate readiness and exit criteria with the transition PMO\nBuild and certify named backup coverage for every role before go-live, so no process depends on a single person\nTeam leadership\nLead, coach and develop a dedicated delivery team across AR, credit and revenue accounting\nOwn cross-training, capacity planning and attrition backfill, keeping the backup matrix current\nSet individual goals and run performance reviews\nReporting and continuous improvement\nStand up and maintain the client-facing performance dashboard\nIdentify process gaps and automation opportunities, size them, and build the case for change\nContribute to the continuous improvement roadmap and to the joint operations and steering forums\nQualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:\nMinimum 5 years in finance and accounting operations, including at least 3 years in order to cash or accounts receivable\n2+ years leading or supervising a team, ideally in a business process management, shared services or managed services environment\nHands-on experience with deduction and chargeback management for large retail or marketplace customers\nWorking knowledge of cash application, customer account reconciliation and dispute resolution at volume\nDemonstrated experience writing process documentation and SOPs, rather than only reviewing them\nExperience running a delivery team against client-facing service levels\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field\nExcellent written and spoken English, with the presence to hold a client governance meeting\nExisting right to work in the United Kingdom\n\nSkills and Personal attributes we would like to have:\nACA, ACCA or CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification\nRevenue recognition experience under ASC 606, and exposure to consignment, royalty or licensing accounting\nOracle Fusion experience (SAP, NetSuite or similar also considered)\nTableau or Power BI, enough to build and maintain an operational dashboard\nInternal control documentation or SOX experience\nTransition or migration experience, having moved a finance process between teams or geographies\nLean or Six Sigma certification\nBackground in consumer products, entertainment, licensing or retail\nWhat success
