They collaborate with the Technical Architect and Product Owner to translate business and UX requirements into secure, scalable, production-grade solutions for the EXL Premium Audit platform.\nThey design and implement end-to-end features (backend, frontend, integrations), proactively suggest improvements, and help shape exceptional auditor and carrier user experiences. They also provide day-to-day technical guidance to junior developers and ensure high-quality delivery.\nAs part of your duties, you will be responsible for:\nWork with the Technical Architect, Product Owner and BAs to understand business requirements and convert them into technical designs and implementation tasks.\nDesign and build secure, scalable backend services and APIs using .NET / Entity Framework and/or Python, including data access, integrations, and background processing.\nDevelop modern, responsive UIs using Angular or React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and Bootstrap, with strong attention to usability and workflow efficiency.\nIntegrate with AI services and components in partnership with the AI Architect (e.g., LLM-based validations, document analysis, recommendations), including calling AI APIs and handling results in a robust way.\nEnsure code quality through unit and integration tests (e.g., JUnit, Jasmine, Karma or equivalent), code reviews, and adherence to coding standards and security best practices.\nUse source control and DevOps tools (Git, TFS) effectively, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment readiness.\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs, including root cause analysis and preventive improvements.\nAssist in customization and integration of third-party products and platforms (e.g., Nexus, other carrier systems) for internal and client use.\nMentor and support junior developers on the squad, providing review, guidance, and examples of good engineering practices.\nCollaborate closely with QA Automation and Performance teams to ensure features are testable, observable, and performant.\n Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:\nSolid experience (typically 4-7 years) in enterprise application development, ideally on workflow-heavy or B2B platforms.\nStrong hands-on skills in .NET / Entity Framework and/or Python, plus a modern frontend framework (Angular).\nExperience with form.io or similar schema-driven dynamic form frameworks (JSON-based forms, conditional logic, reuseable components) is a strong plus.\nSkills and Personal attributes we would like to have:\nGood understanding of how AI systems work and prior experience integrating AI/ML/LLM services via APIs or SDKs.\nComfort working with distributed teams (India / Ireland / US) and owning features end-to-end with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, and propose simpler/better technical solutions that improve user experience and business value.\nAs part of a leading global Data and AI company, you can look forward to:\nA competitive salary with a generous bonus, private healthcare, life assurance at 4 x your annual salary, income protection insurance, and a rewarding pension.\nAt EXL, we are committed to providing our employees with the tools and resources they need to succeed and excel in their careers.
