This role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.\nEducation/Work Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).\nExperience Qualifications\n6-9 years as a DBA with expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other RDBMS, along with Linux infrastructure management.\nCurrent Workload would be 60% Oracle, 40% SQL Server.\n 1+ years hands-on Administration experience with: DataBricks, Snowflake (Preferable)\nOracle APEX\nAWS/AZURE\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport and manage Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases in production and non-production environments.\nInstall, configure, and monitor databases; ensure compliance with security and audit standards.\nTune SQL and PL/SQL performance, troubleshoot and resolve incidents within SLAs, and automate tasks using Shell, PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and Perl.\nDesign and implement data models, mirroring, and backup/recovery strategies.\n Automate processes using scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Perl).\nCollaborate with application teams and vendors for database solutions and lifecycle management.\nProvide 24x7 support, including on-call rotation and weekend coverage.\nStay current with industry trends, emerging Cloud technologies, and AI/GenAI advancements.\nCritical Skills (Must Haves)\n Hands-on Sr. DBA Administration experience with: Oracle (Single Instance/RAC, Multitenant, Active Data Guard), SQL Server (HA)\nPostgreSQL Administration is good to have.\nExpertise in RDBMS installations, patching, and upgrades\nPerformance tuning in SQL and PL/SQL\n Experience managing large databases (>50 TB)\nManaging and upgrading Oracle APEX\nCloud technologies Administration experience: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks (Good to have)\nTools: Datadog, NewRelic, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c+, Toad\nStrong Linux administration and scripting skills\n Knowledge and experience with AI/GenAI technologies (e.g., AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, database optimization using AI) (Good to have)\n Ability to leverage GenAI for operational efficiency, such as automating repetitive DBA tasks and enhancing DevOps pipelines.
