establish reusable module libraries and enforce IaC governance standards across all projects.\n\n- Drive multi-account AWS environment management using Control Tower, AWS Organizations, and Landing Zone patterns.\n\n- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles across all five pillars - reliability, security, operational excellence, performance efficiency, and cost optimisation - on all new and existing workloads.\n\n- Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and toolchain improvements to keep EXL's platform capabilities current.\n\nTeam Leadership & People Management : \n\n- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of DevOps Engineers.\n\n- Own sprint planning, workload distribution, and capacity management for the DevOps team.\n\n- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and engineering excellence within the team.\n\n- Act as the primary escalation point for critical production incidents and high-priority engineering decisions.\n\nCI/CD, Automation & DevOps Practices : \n\n- Design, implement, and own enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and ArgoCD.\n\n- Define and enforce branching strategies, deployment standards, release gates, and rollback procedures across all engineering teams.\n\n- Champion GitOps practices and drive adoption of automated testing, security scanning (DevSecOps), and compliance checks within pipelines.\n\n- Create and maintain reusable templates, runbooks, and golden-path toolchains for developers to self-serve infrastructure and deployments.\n\nData Platform & Engineering Collaboration : \n\n- Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to design and support platforms spanning AWS Glue, Databricks, DynamoDB, Redshift, and S3-based data lakes.\n\n- Ensure DevOps processes, pipeline reliability, and observability are appropriately applied to data and ML/analytics workloads.\n\n- Provide infrastructure guidance and developer-experience improvements to application and data engineers to enable faster, safer deployments.\n\nMonitoring, Reliability & Security : \n\n- Define and own the observability strategy - dashboards, alerting, log management, and SLO/SLA tracking using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack.\n\n- Drive incident management processes - from detection and root-cause analysis through to post-mortems and corrective action follow-through.\n\n- Enforce cloud security best practices : IAM least-privilege, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, network segmentation, and compliance controls.\n\n- Lead FinOps initiatives - continuous cost visibility, anomaly alerting, rightsizing, and Reserved Instance / Savings Plan strategy.\n\nStakeholder Management & Governance : \n\n- Serve as the primary DevOps point of contact for client-facing and internal technical stakeholders.\n\n- Produce and present infrastructure architecture decisions, platform roadmaps, and cloud health reports to senior leadership.\n\n- Define and track DevOps KPIs - deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR, lead time - and use data to guide team priorities.\n\n- Ensure compliance with organisational, client, and regulatory security and audit requirements.\n\nSkills : \n\nMust have : \n\n- Deep, production-grade AWS expertise across compute (EC2, EKS, Lambda), networking (VPC, Route 53, Load Balancers, API Gateway), security (IAM, KMS, Security Groups), and storage (S3, EBS, EFS).\n\n- Expert-level Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency - Terraform (modules, state management, remote backends) and / or AWS CDK.\n\n- Proven track record designing and operating CI/CD pipelines at scale - GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, ArgoCD; experience with GitOps delivery models.\n\n- Hands-on container orchestration expertise - Kubernetes / Amazon EKS - including Helm, autoscaling, RBAC, and network policies.\n\n- Solid experience supporting data engineering platforms : AWS Glue, Databricks, Redshift, DynamoDB, or equivalent.\n\n- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to build operational tooling and eliminate manual work.\n\n- People leadership capability : experience setting team direction, running code / design reviews, and actively growing engineers.\n\n- Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to translate technical complexity for non-technical audiences and engage senior stakeholders.\n\nGood to Have : \n\n- Hands-on experience with multi-account AWS environments : Control Tower, AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, and Landing Zone.\n\n- Cloud cost optimisation experience - RI / Savings Plans, rightsizing recommendations, tagging governance, and cost anomaly detection.\n\n- DevSecOps practices - SAST / DAST pipeline integration, container image scanning (Trivy, Snyk), secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).\n\n- Experience with advanced observability tooling - Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog, or New Relic.\n\n- Familiarity with AI / ML infrastructure tooling - MLflow, Kubeflow, Amazon SageMaker, or Amazon Bedrock.\n\n- Experience in consulting or client-delivery environments;
