The Training Manager will be reporting to our Senior Training Manager.\nSalary Range: $75,100 - $123,400 (based on experience, skills, and qualifications)\nLocation: 100% Remote (U.S.-based)\nUp to 10% annual travel (for team meetings and limited client onsite engagements.)\nA 5-10 minute presentation on who you would approach training, trainers will be required.\nFor more information on benefits and what we offer please visit us at https://www.exlservice.com/us-careers-and-benefits\n Lead, coach, and develop a team of clinical and coding trainers while establishing a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement\nSet clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to drive individual and team success\nOversee trainer performance, workload prioritization, and execution against business goals, training deliverables, and operational timelines\nDevelop and execute training strategies and programs that support onboarding, speed to proficiency, performance improvement, and long-term capability building\nEnsure all training programs remain relevant, accurate, and aligned with business needs, client expectations, and operational priorities\nConduct training needs assessments and identify capability gaps across teams\nMonitor, evaluate, and continuously improve training effectiveness through performance metrics, learner feedback, observations, and assessments\nPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Clinical, Coding, and Leadership teams to align training priorities and drive business outcomes\nMaintain visibility into training records, reporting, trainee progression, and readiness metrics\nOrganize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, webinars, and development activities as needed\nManage team resources effectively and remove barriers impacting trainer success\nStay current on industry trends, best practices, and evolving learning methodologies\n Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience) \n5+ years in training or learning & development within healthcare (nursing and/or medical coding) \nProven experience leading and developing trainers, including nurses and certified coders \nCertification in training or learning & development strongly preferred \nBackground in nursing, medical coding, or healthcare operations strongly preferred\nDesirable Skills:\nStrong ability to upskill teams and accelerate speed to proficiency through effective training delivery and coaching \nDemonstrated success improving training outcomes, performance, and quality through targeted development strategies \nAbility to assess skill gaps and implement focused development plans for trainers and learners \nStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and drive accountability across training teams \nData-driven approach to evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve results \nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills across operations, quality, and leadership \nAbility to translate complex clinical and coding concepts into clear, practical training \nExperience in one of the following: Outpatient, DRG or CVA auditing, preferred but not required\nWhat We Offer:\nA fast-paced, innovative environment with a team of industry-leading experts\nHands-on experience with top-tier clients in the healthcare industry\nA strong culture of collaboration, support, and inclusivity\nCompetitive benefits package, including healthcare, vision, dental, and 401(k) options\nThe posted base salary range is the hiring base salary range for this role.
